I see that there are several wireless remotes for the K-R... and it will be a valuable tool to have... what I want to know is...
#1 Can any of them work form the rear of the camera
#2 can you us them to control the exposure length?

What are the more affordable but reliable SD cards out there... I'm looking for 16gb and 32gb... I am reading reviews about the cheaper ones and they don't sound reliable enough.

Has anyone gotten any close up MOON shots with their K-R? I am curious to see what the differences are.
18mm-55mm lens?
200mm lens?
300mm lens?
just in case you are thinking it... I mean the one in the sky!

I originally posted something that made me sound uncaring... that why I removed it... If I could of removed the whole thread I would of... but you guys have said what I didn't/couldn't and so much better... There is not much more I can do to help them other than buying their products. and as I stated before... I am in the process of buying a K-r... that is why it is here in this forum.

is buying the extended warranty worth it?
For example buy.com has a 3 year extended warranty for $84.00...
has anyone done this? has anyone used it? good experience? bad?

Oh I like the Sigma 28-300! its a little wider as you said... but Im wonder about IQ now... and only $199.00 on Amazon!
does anyone know if sigma 28-300 will quick shift focus?

Thank you all for your thoughts and ideas... I knew going into the lens selection portion of my purchase would end this way... I knew that I would end up with what you most agree on... I was just trying to find an alternative route... but it looks like the DA 55mm-300mm is the lens of choice as I expected it would be. Its not that I don't have the budget to spend on things like this... I just don't have the nerve to spend the money I do have LOL.

is this lens worth considering?
PENTAX DA 50-200mm f/4-5.6 ED Weather Resistant Lens
I know its not a 300 but it is a $150 cheaper than the 300.. how big of a difference is the zoom on a 300 then the 200?

It looks like the Pentax DA 55mm-300mm is the best choice... I was afraid of that... I am quickly coming to the same conclusion... I just didn't want to spend that much all at once... I know as soon as I get the camera I'll want a zoom lens too!

Yes at times I will be... but then I'll have my truck with me... I can just use that to keep on charged while I'm out shooting!
