Pentax 21977 18 mm-135 mm f/3.5-5.6 Zoom Lens for Pentax KAF3 (New in Non-Retail Packaging) - 13440369 - Overstock Shopping - Great Deals on Pentax Lenses

This is what Overstock terms "New in non-retail packaging". I received the lens in a white box with the caps and hood and a "Serial Number Card". Overstock's customer support assures me that the lens is covered under the factory warranty, but take that for what you think it is worth. I have doubts, but for the cost I think it was worth the risk.

Your "ant" is a fraud. Count the legs: it has 8. It's a spider that mimics the appearance of an ant. I don't know the specific species this one represents, but they are fascinating. Some can even mimic pheromones and infiltrate ant colonies.

Those look like bat houses, and I'm guessing you were looking at SL Bat House #1. It's likely part of a conservation study or re-population program. Any idea of what "SL" stands for?

I don't know how old this oak is, but It was twisted and hoary before any Europeans settled the area. It's about 6 or 7 feet in diameter at the base.

I've got a K-x, not the K-r. I remapped the AF funcion off the half-press to to the AF/AE-L button. I'm guessing that a similar remapping is possible on the K-r. I found that it was a lot less tricky holding down the AF button completely than to try to maintain a half-press while manual focusing. It may not seem like much, but for me it means I can concentrate on using the focus ring smoothly and slowly.
