Nothing is really lame i suppose, it's i'm ready to get more use out of it i guess. I do want to get closer to subjects and what not. I shoot my pets a lot and like, family gatherings. I also like shooting my sisters color guard performances which are hard to get nice clear photos from the distance and since they are moving lots. its not that great. maybe i'll post a few shots ive taken recently.

Hi, i am a total photographer noob, I've had my k-x for a year now and it is my first SLR camera. I'm not looking for anything too fancy, but I am tired of the lame zoom my camera has and I was looking into buying myself a new one soon. Any suggestions on a good priced lense that will give me some better distance? I love my camera dearly but I can only do so much with the lens it came with. I was looking at the DA 55-300mm. Thank you very much.:)
