Many K camera's can take up to 10 exposures on one picture. However, the pictures that you showed are probably all done in photoshop using masks, overlaying different pictures. :-). But maybe that is what you are talking about?

No, never even noticed it. I use the lens pretty much exclusively for landscape these days. On a tripod, at f/8 to f/11 and in manual focus pretty much set always to the 1 big bar (1m) which is close enough to the hyperfocal distance, giving me a focal range from 0.5m to infinity @ 10mm - this is what I bought the lens for. :-)

when you take a shot try to think of what emotion you want to convey. Once you verbalised it, try to really bring this out with composition, light, post and maybe title. If you succeed in doing that you are winning. :-) However, I know, it is easier said than done.

Nice work there Kengoh, Mike and Jody.
Jody I can appreciate you looking forward to warming up at your part of the world. Whilst it is cooling here in my part I am looking foward to that too because the shots will become clearer and crisper due to lower humidity and overall much less moisture in the air (once the rain season is over anyway...:-) )
Here is another one from Dangar Falls from an entirely different perspective:
(for Nanhi: taken with a Sigma 10-20)

thanks Mike
thanks Adinfinitum. I got a massive leech stuck on me down there.
Which ones do you have? Cokin P ?
100mm square do the job. Also I am using mostly graduated ND filters to tame the brighter sky and to make the digital range of my camera go further. For just ND filters, screw on filters could be ok.

Strange. I just checked on the K-5 and I had no problem taking a shot in Bulb mode with infrared trigger and set to ISO12800. But in the manual - as you stated - they say maximum ISO sensitivity is 1600.
If I could be bothered I would pull out my old K-x, put in batteries and try the same as above. It might be a mistake in the manual... as in the K-5's.

I like the lower one better because the couple stands out much more due to the contrast against the background. Without the couple the pictures would not have too much interest for me. But that is subjective.

It might have been limited because it gets very noisy. The K-5 doesn't have that limit ?

Beautiful shot. Nicely uncluttered.
Used the sigma in light rain yesterday. Obviously I didn't let it get too wet. This is Dangar Falls named after Mr Dangar on the New England Tablelands, Eastern Australia.
10mm @ f/8, ISO 100 for 30s. |

That's brilliant. (ps I keep the damp rid in a container inside the buckets with the camera gear :) - similar to how you have the desiccant inside your boxes.)

Hi there
Hope it goes better for now. I was just going to mention again with regard to my earlier post that I am still using my method of a large round bucket with a fairly good seal and "damp rid" the stuff you put in moist corners of rooms etc. Moisture Control, Odor Control & Fresher Indoor Air | DampRid . Over a year now it has been working brilliantly even through recent flood weather with high humidity and high temperature in the sub-tropics. I am not too worried that the lid just sits on top lightly. I feel it stops from drying out the gear too much. Like you I keep it around 40 to 50%. Sometimes I move the lid on the damp rid a little on or off the edge to regulate humidity. Desiccant I found too expensive).

Thanks. To minimise the need for digital darkroom I used the ND soft Grad to control foreground to background light. As the middle section still had too much light I added the reverse grad and it was perfect and similar to what my eyes saw.

Thanks Tamia. No, there was no cropping or vignetting in this shot, other than that caused by the Big Stopper.
I only have two slots and the cpl ring holder on my setup (rather than 3 slots).
I noticed that if I focus at 1 metre then there is less chance of (or no) vignetting compared to focusing at distance say infinity or even 10m.
But I noticed also that if there is ever some vignetting and I use lens correction with the sigma 10 - 20 profile in Adobe Camera Raw, then it disappears as the corners with the vignette are pulled outside the frame. A fact that puzzles me since that seems to cause more distortion in the corners. But maybe the distortions are more even after the correction...
But yes, no vignetting in this shot. Happy riding and shooting Tamia.

I'd still like to add that fungus can be removed and it does not eat into the glass straight away - at least I hope to think...
