I love this shot and hope to take a similar shot sometime. I wonder if you have noticed the white fringe on the right (above the falls) where the rocks meet the blue sky. Like I said, I love this shot and thankful you have posted it. Cheers!!

Mikec100z, Here is my best shot of the 'Three Sisters'. My last sunrise (taken at 5:43am) on Monday 05-15-2017. I decided to go down to the river bank. I found that I did not have to cross over the RR tracks, the drainage ditch there has a small bridge for the train tracks and has enough room for you to walk under the tracks. Not sure this is entirely 'Legal', but Hey, I was leaving early the next morning so I took a chance.

Lightroom 5.7 is probably at least 3 years old, it does not have support for new cameras without being updated. I would investigate whether your version of Lightroom can be updated to handle newer cameras. If not, you may have to go the monthly CC route.

Thanks Mike! I saw 2 months ago something about a free pass for 2017. I wasn't sure they would send one to someone in Oklahoma, but I filled out the form and 2 weeks later the pass came in the mail. Can't wait to spend a few days exploring the park.

I am planning a trip to Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada in May. Was wondering if anyone has experience in a good location (legally) for shooting the Three Sisters mountain peaks. I have seen images
showing the peaks and the Bow River and would like to try for something similar. Any comments would be appreciated. Thank You!

I think the blurry leaves in this instance is the light breeze we had and four 90 second exposures. I took other exposures at 25 seconds, but what is the use of having an Astrotracer if you don't try it out, right? Would also like to have had an nice foreground element (abandoned barn or farmhouse) but I settled for a dark sky. lol

Hi Cocoa, The photos posted were taken last year (2013) and Talimena Drive is in the southeastern part of the state, and as someone stated above the whole state is not mountainous. It is of interest that you are from Naples, Italy. My wife and I were in Naples for 1 day in April of 2013. We were on a Mediterranean cruise and the tour we took in Naples was a drive down the Amalfi coast and, of course, a stop in Pompeii. The other Italian cities we visited were Florence/Pisa, Rome, and Venice. A truly once in a lifetime trip! Best wishes!!

Thanks for the comments Kerrowdown and Slowpez. Sorry to have any part of busting anyone's travel budget. Slowpez--never say never, I too thought I would never
be in Venice, or Rome, or Florence, or Istanbul for that matter. Keep hope alive!

After watching a Youtube video on B&W, I decided to go back to a few shots from Venice from April 28 & 29, 2013. Criticisms and comments welcome. These shots show a more unknown side of Venice that lends itself more to B&W and a little added drama. I often find myself forgetting
about B&W, until I found out it is more than simply converting to B&W with the push of a button. These were PP using LR4.

Yes, I am standing on an 8ft. step ladder. We had caravan of about 12 cars (drove from Tulsa, Ok. ~150 miles) and our farmer brought 2 ladders for us to use in his field.
We left at 7am to try to be there by 9am, shoot for a couple hours, then go eat lunch to avoid the heat of the day but it turned out to be a high of only 88 on that Saturday
07-27-13.
