I am selling myPentax K-r 12.4 MP Digital SLR Camera with 3.0-Inch LCD and 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens and a Manual Pentax Prime 50mm f2 lens with an extended ADH 3 year warranty because I was just given a Canon camera at work and most of my Pentax gear has to go. It was purchased new in March 2011 and it was only used for three months.
The camera and original lens are in excellent working condition and I am including an original Pentax 50mm f2 Prime Manual lens to complete the set.
An additional non-OEM battery and a non-OEM 4AA battery adapter are also included as a bonus to you!
The camera is under a 3 yr warranty ($79.00 extra) with Square Trade as follows:

Welcome to the Forum! I teach at Cal State San Marcos and often go to Las Vegas to visit my son and his family. You will really enjoy the camera now. The first time I put an old lens on the Pentax K-r I was shocked at the difference too. Keep posting pictures and enjoy your stay!

Welcome! I did the same thing! I was getting ready to buy a Canon DSLR and, in reading the reviews, came across someone's review on the Pentax K-x. In the end I bought the K-r and am very happy with it. Hope all is well with you in Japan and please post many pictures!
