Leading up to it's entrance into digital cameras, Pentax supported it's revenue growth by good old fashioned film cameras - and lenses.
So, as a nod to their heritage, how about a world analogue pentax day?
Happy to take photos on the day and submit in the following week - how about it?
I still see the odd MX, K1000 and ME cameras out there being used.
Film is still a great medium, with plenty of fans.

Hi to all 'taxers out there. My Pentax journey began when I purchased a K1000 in 1981 as part of my design degree. I still have the camera - have to say in between then and now has been a few canon eos film and digital cameras etc etc - various lenses. But end of last year I bought a Zeiss 21mm lens with a canon mount. Didn't really have a full frame camera to get the full 21mm so dusted off an old eos 5 film camera and went on summer holidays armed with a good variety of film.
I had a ball - enough to think - must get that old K1000 out.
It still is in perfect condition and I am enjoying shooting more on that than all the rest.
Simple, uncomplicated and the lens is very sharp, but versatile and now it is the camera I take everywhere.
So I'm back at the start really.
And to be honest it's not better or worse than digital - it's just different.
But different in an engaging way.
