I am looking for a 24mm lens in M42. I'm not interested in the Sigma xq with the built in filters. Thanks.

Piggy back ride from January. Bessa R with a Nikkor 35mm. It's expired Kentmere 400, which I do not like.

I bought a K-5 II body only that came in a K-5 II and 18-135 kit box, and the included manual was for the K-5. So this is super helpful to me. Thanks!

Black Pentax KX w/ K Series 50mm f/1.4 Asking Price
USD $145 Item Location
California (United States) Item Description
Black Pentax KX and K-series 50mm f/1.4 were purchased from a member here a year ago. He stated the camera had been CLA'ed within the last 7 years or so.
The camera has typical brassing (especially on the back, see photos) and wear for a camera of it's age. The meter works well. The lens has definite signs of wear and dust is visible inside. Otherwise both function perfectly. The lens has smooth focus and no oil in the blades.
I hate to part with this camera -- it is the one that feels best in hand AND in handling -- but my eyesight is not what it was and I find I need the crutch of AF.

I was goofing around and had my DA 35 f/2.4 "plastic fantastic" on a Pentax ZX-7. The set up is small, light and fun!
Shot on Fomapan 100 and stand developed in Rodinal 1+100 for an hour.

It amazed me that Pentax did not offer a cheap budget-conscious fairly-fast 50mm like certain competitors of theirs do. I'm glad to see Pentax change this.
Just like filmamigo:- I love the DA 35/2.4 L
- I will definitely buy the 50/1.8
- I will definitely try it on my MZ-7 to see if it works with film.
Shorter version: me too! |

Do you think it might work to use two rolls with Dil. H (rather than G)? Just curious if you've tried this. I have 100' of Arista EDU Ultra and some HC-100, hence my interest.
Thanks,

Great work, Pioneer. I tried Rodinal semi-stand on Ilford Delta 400, and it was a disaster. Some folks recommend NOT using Rodinal on fast film, and I can see why. But your shot is not nearly as grainy as mine. Have you tried any of the Efke or Adox CHS in Rodinal doing stand development?

My niece at Thanksgiving. I used my new (to me) Spotmatic SP1000 with a 55/1.8. This was Kentmere 400 developed semi-stand in Rodinal.

I am looking for a flash to use with both my K-r and my KX. Currently, I have a Vivitar 285HV which works well... but it's freaking HUGE. I don't need a big guide number -- I'd rather have something convenient and easily portable. p-TTL would be nice for the K-r, but it is definitely NOT a necessity.
Recommendations?

So *THAT'S* what it's called. Anyhow, looking forward to your Adox shots. I have two rolls of the 100 in my 'fridge I still haven't shot. I have heard it's a bit prone to scratching.

At one time I had three: a KX, a P3, and a ZX-M. The ZX-M suffered the plastic gear syndrome and died. The P3 has not been used since I started bulk-rolling my own film. I didn't have the foresight to buy the DX coded canisters and I don't have the ambition to encode the canisters myself. It's a shame because I otherwise like that camera.
The KX is my favorite though. I bought it from a forum member here, and it arrived well-used but well-treated. I shoot left-eyed, but the lever advance activated meter does not bother me. I'd love to get another as a back up, but I really don't "need" one. I'd rather get a K series 24mm or 28mm.
And having seen the black SV that Séamuis re-covered (from another thread), I have begun to seriously covet one. :o

The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem.
Be careful. That's how it started for me. I bought a P3 that came as a "body cap" on a lens I wanted. I "upgraded" my P3 to a black KX and now the K-r is gathering dust in my closet. Film can be addictive.
Have fun with your new lenses and gear, Chris. And once you shoot a roll of film, post some of the shots here.
