No - not just the menu system...but actually seeing and feeling the camera would be nice. Thanks,
Last time I was at Frys I didn't see any Pentax DSLRs - but I will check.

I am still moving toward my K-r purchase, but haven't come to a final decision. The problem is there is nowhere around here (Sacramento) to get my hands on one. So I wonder, how do you like the menu system. I have had a chance to look at those on other cameras, and find the Canon T2i the best of the bunch. I would love to hear some feedback. Thanks!

I am buying my first DSLR - I am sold on the K - r. (I have had some superzoom digital fixed lens cameras and am now finding that they are limited and slow.) What I don't know is whether to get the 18-55 kit or that plus the 55- 300 DAL. I already have some old Pentax Autofocus lenses the SMC Pentax-F 35-70mm F3.5-4.5 and the Tamron AF 28-200mm F/3.8-5.6 XR Di LD Aspherical [IF] MACRO. What think you all? I am thinking get the camera with the standard kit lens and then if the lenses I have seem inadequate - go with the DA 55-300.
