This photo was taken on our South American vacation when crossing the Andes by boat. Apparently this area is always cloudy or rain, got very lucky to get this shot.

Windows 8 is not really that bad. The first thing to after a fresh install of windows 8, is install a start menu like Start8 and it will boot to the desktop and work like Win 7. If people you didn't know you installed Win8 you would think it was Windows 7 running. The windows key on the keyboard will flip you back and forth between the desktop and the Windows 8 tiles, best of both worlds really.

If you are modifying the tripod mount use a dremel instead of a drill for a much neater job. I will try to find a washer thin enough to hold the tripod screw in place, as I modified my adapter yesterday.

I used a program called PhotoMe which I learned about on this form. Just google it, dsownload and install, and best of all it's free.

Back to your original question. I sent mine in at the end of Janurary and they replaced the sensor. It took about a month to get the camera back. The internal serial number changed, but the body was the same. They also updated the firmware from 1.01 to 1.02.
