If you have a film camera you can use up some film when you feel like it and can afford it.. If you don't have a film camera you can't. And you'll feel bad.

newarts, did you change the height at which the camera was held between those two lens. I can clearly see more of the light pole above the window frame in the 55mm then in the 18mm.
It would also seem that I can see more of the top of the window frame in the 18mm then the 55mm but that could be because of the blurring in the 55 due to a difference in the DOF between the two.
Unfortunately I have to wait until tomorrow to try this myself.

Jeez, pacerr, that was quick. I was going to give you a week or so. I guess I better go read it now.
Seriously. Thanks.

No matter what strap that is involved there is always some potential situation that could damage a camera. To minimize the likelyhood of such a situation occuring I try to always secure strap and camera at the same time and immediately hang it around my neck or wrist. One time I forgot to secure the quick access panel on my Lowe Fast Pack and dropped my Rebel xti on to a stone floor from about 2 feet. Fortunately the camera suffered no damage. Since then I've become OCD about zipping up camera bags.

pacerr, excellent ideas! Have you considered writing an article for the forum about those two exercises for the forum?

This a great thread for seeing amazing B&W work. Inspires me to keep XP-2 Super in the camera.

Pictures of squirrels are not allowed where I work. Naked women are fine but flowers are questionable. Not sure about the policy on ground squirrels though.

They are not really bad either. Number 1 is a good portrait and number 3 is beautiful. Pleasing bokeh with enough suggestion of a landscape to complement her thoughtful expression.

The reflection of the man with ice cream is a value added bonus in that wonderful first shot. Helps to do what a good photo can do: tell a story.

Chex already used "fantastic" so I'm going with spectacular. An excellant action capture. And the composition is pleasing.
