Hallo everybody! :)
I'm a new (and I hope) happy owner of the Pentax K-r with 18-55, 55-300 kit lenses.
Finally I found courage to step from compact ultra-zooms into DSLR. :)
Up to now, I was afraid of the size and weight of the DSLR equipment, because my camera is always within reach of my hands, but finally I get exhausted of the limits of small sensor cameras...
I have read a few articles about current entry-level models and found that K-r will probably satisfy me. The main reasons for choice were: low noise at higher ISO, SR in the body, 6fps, smaller size and good price/performance.
Special interests in photography:
- High mountain landscape photography
- Macro photography
- Aquarium photography
Equipment history:
- 35mm film Canon EOS 3000N
- Polaroid xxx(?!), 3MP, 3x zoom (my first digital)
- Panasonic FZ3, 3MP, 12x zoom
- Sony DSC-H2, 6MP, 12x zoom
- Olympus SP-570 UZ, 10MP, 26x zoom
