Hi everyone

I bought a Pentax K-r about a year ago and have been using it with the kit lenses and the 50 mm F1.4 macro lens. Have got good results but still learning....I would like to get a telephoto zoom lens and have been checking out the Tamron 18-200 and wanted to get some feedback on whether it would be a good replacement for the kit lenses (18-55 and 55-200)?

I take a lot of photos during the daylight outside and then mostly with kids and family around the house. A general user that needs quick focusing due to fast moving kids.

Any recommendations given the Tamron 18-200 is only $249. I did look at the Sigma 18-250 but it is double the cost so wondering whether it is worth the extra $$ for a general user. How different are the auto focus speeds of the two?

Thanks

-Ram
