PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Pentax DA* 50-135 f2.8

Asking Price
$675

Item Location
Maryland (United States)

Item Description
Pentax DA* 50-135 f2.8 SDM, In very good condition, lens is clear, no dust, body impeccable but lens hood is missing window where you can turn a CPL, which was misplaced. Also, one of the guides on the lens for attaching the lens hood had a 3/4" section which was cracked and I removed so it does not effect putting the lens hood on or off nor the stability of the lens hood once attached. Selling as I moved to a FF system. Will supply pictures to serious buyers

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Pentax DA * 50-135 f2.8

Asking Price
$695

Item Location
Maryland (United States)

Item Description
Pentax DA* 50-135 f2.8 SDM in Very good to excellent condition. Price reduced to $695.

Lens is complete with box, case, hood, lens and end cap. The slot in the hood to rotate a CPL has been lost otherwise I would consider it excellent. This is the last item left from several items I sold withing 24 hours of the first listing. The reason the equipment was sold is that I was planning to move to FF and waiting for Pentax to enter the market, but my hand was forced when my K-5 and three other lenses were stolen so I moved to a new system and sold what was left of my Pentax equipment.

I will supply photo's of the lens to serious buyers. I ship USPS priority and insured. Buyers outside the US are responsible for any duty charges and for any additional shipping charges.

I am re-listing as I mistakenly had the whole listing removed when I was trying to update what was sold, so here it is again

I was waiting for Pentax to move to full format and then my K-5 and three favorite lenses were stolen. Since I'm not able to wait till they introduces their FF and I would still have to replace what I lost, I decided to sell the balance of my Pentax gear and move to another system. But my loss can be your gain, as most of what I'm selling is in excellent condition and was only used rarely. All lenses come with both end and lens caps

Sigma EX 100- 300 f4 APO-DG Zoom - Classic Sigma zoom in Excellent condition Includes box, hood and carrying case - Purchased new for wildlife photo's but used maybe one day a year at most. - $1200

Sigma EX 2X APO Tele-converter DG - Matching unit purchased new for the EX 100-300 f4 zoom - Excellent condition - only used once, includes box and carrying case - $200

OR

Pair Price for EX 100-300 f4 & 2X Tele-converter - $1300

Pentax DA* 50-135 f2.8 SMC - Very Good condition - Includes hood, box and carrying case - hood is missing pullout to rotate CPL filter otherwise would be considered excellent- Purchased used from Owner who moved to FF - $795

Pentax DA* 55 f1.4 SMC - Excellent condition - Includes box and carrying case. missing hood, Purchased new and used once, when I lost the hood - $495 (pending)

Tamron SP AF 90 mm F2.8 Di - Macro 1:1 - Excellent condition - Includes box, hood and carrying case - Purchased New and used exclusively for Macro- $245 (Sold)

Tamron SP AF 17-50 f2.8 - Fair to Good Condition - This was my walk around lens, it still takes good pictures but shows its wear - Purchased new but with no box and a replacement aftermarket hood the price is only $145 (Sold)

Tamron 1.4X Pz-AF MC4 Tele-converter - Excellent condition but no box or carrying case- Purchased new - $ 75 (Sold)

Lensbaby system - Lens baby Composer W/ Double-glass optic, 1.6 Telephoto, 0.6X wide angle, +4 & +10 macro filters- Sweet 35 swap system. All items have carrying bags but rim of 0.6 wide angle is bent so it cannot use the macro filters, otherwise entire system would be considered excellent. Will only sell complete system - $375

Pentax AF-360-FGZ flash - No box or carrying case so consider it Very good condition - Purchased new - $135

Hybrid Pentax D-BG4 grip for K-5 & K-7 & original Pentax D-L190 battery- This unit consists of the face plate and seals from a Pentax D-BG4 and the grip from an aftermarket unit as the pin set from the original was damaged on a trip. The unit works fine but it is not as water-proofed as the Pentax version. The battery has a manufacturing date of 01/2011 and delivers complete capacity - I will include original box & alkaline cell adapter - $65 for pair (Pending)

Optika 500mm f8 manual lens - Purchased on a whim but never used, includes lens bag - Excellent condition - $45 (Pending)

I will accept Paypal but will give a 2% credit for cash, money order or certified check.

K-5 Purple Fringing real or imaginary?

I'm thinking of trading my K-7 for a K-5, but I'm concerned about purple fringing issues which came up on my internet search. Purple fringing on my K-10 is one of the reasons I upgraded to the K-7. From what I read the IQ and the ISO range of the K-5 would make this a no-brainer except for the PF concern. Is it real? was it limited to the first batch which had the sensor issues? or is it much ado about nothing? Thanks
