Hmm - My first thougth was something close to sawing the pin off, but I will of cause not make any Pentaxians angry.
If I dismantle the lens I would be afraid of small springs and aperature blades suddenly flying around and dust getting into the lens, bút perhaps it is not a problem.
The disadvange must be a dark viewfinder when the lens is stopped down, but it is also a disadvange to be forced to use the green buttum.

Thank you for explaining it to me.
I can see that it is the litle blade/pin on the lens which opens the blade when the lens is mounted on the camera.
Has anybody tryid to remove this blade/pin to have the possibility to us Av priority with the lens fully fastned?

I have used my K-R for a month now (only indoor due to a broken leg) and have so for not expirience any FF problems. I am very satisfied with the camera which replaced a K-X.
The lenses used is the 18-55 kit lens, a Tamron 18-200 and a Pentax M 50 1,7.
Then using the manual lens i use the camera focus hexagon for adjusting the focus and it seems to give succes every time - even when shooting wide open.
Serial no starts with 3891xxx

AF ajustment is set to 0.
I have not made any dedicated focus tests with test sheets, it is only my impression based the family photos I have taken so far with the kit lens and a Tamron 18 - 200.

I received my k-r camera a month ago (replacement for my k-x which were stolen) and have been very satisfied with the images so far. The strange thing is that I am not experiencing any FF problems in any of my images taken in artificial light or tungsten light. Actually I wasn’t aware about the problem before I read about it in this forum a few days ago. If the problem is caused by a software bug which can be eliminated trough a firmware update, then it should be found on all k-r cameras! So is it just me who is not critical enough then I examine my images og is there anybody else who have a k-r camera which do not suffer from heavy FF problems? |
