I love Pentax kit so much but, I managed to buy an EF 85mm f/1.8 for £120. I definitely couldn't do that with Pentax, which is a real shame. Good job I can use both. I also got a MK 1 metal mount EF 50 1.8 for £50. There's so much EOS glass out there its dirt cheap. I'm not about to jump ship though because..I don't have to. I can shoot both.

Yes Steve, that's a real dog! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder though, or so they say (although I'm glad I don't have to behold that one too often :D)

The Elan II is the EOS 50. My version is the Elan IIe with eye control which, works surprisingly well (for me) The autofocus really surprised me. Snappy and responsive. Quite a bargain for the prices they sell for these days and, my E-TTL flashes work with it. Usually like mechanical things but, this all electronic plastic camera just...works. Quiet as a mouse (mirror and motor drive are virtually inaudible)

Not REALLY a big fan of Colani's stuff but, spose that personal taste. TBH, I've never touched a T series so, I can't judge too well. I'm sure you can still take good photos with them even with all that automation. I own some EOS kit and, despite all the plastic, I quite like it. The Elan II is quite a nice full featured camera and dead quiet, to say it has a motor drive (gotta love that eye control hehe) E-TTL as well. ---------- Post added 06-15-16 at 12:38 AM ---------- Sold just recently. Maybe they fixed the mirror slap on the F-1n (?) Mine was just an F-1 (MK1)
The T series Canons are VERY ugly cameras. From reading about it, they seem to have trashed the FD T series lenses and started again with EOS. Probably for good reason.

HUGE range of accessories for the F-1 too. VERY nice camera but, jeez its no stealth street shooter. LOUD shutter (well mine was) Got a waist finder with mine as well as the split. Pure quality. Not like the cheap plastic crap they churn out now. Sold it for a handsome profit.
(I do like Canon though, there I said it :) )

F-1 is a beast!!! I doubt that tank would even scratch it :) Most solid camera body I've ever handled. Looks REAL nice when the black paintwork starts to brass too. Sounds like a nailgun though.
T80 on the otherhand kinda reminds me of this though :D http://camera-wiki.org/wiki/%22Olympia%22_camera |

It will impact the price quite a bit (possibly about 20% of a mint copy) but, you should still be able to sell it for quite a lot. You'll HAVE to mention it in the listing though :(

VFC with floating focus. EXTREMELY rare lens. Great find! I would personally get it on Ebay with the prices these fetch these days :D
We need some photos of the VFC in action.

REALLY had to use the shadow pushing powers of the K-30 sensor for this scene.

REALLY don't get what your issue is with these lenses. Look at the reviews. They're well loved and take fantastic images.
This is the Pentax-F version but, I dont see much wrong with, what is basically the same design.
Not bad. Use them while you can, they'll probably be paperweights in a few weeks ;)
I have 2 Pancolars and have owned several others. Never saw what all the fuss was about to be honest.

Not pictures BY K lenses but, OF K lenses :)
Stupidly well built lenses.
The K 55 1.8 especially has STUNNING build quality. Smooth as silk, quite exquisite
