Lens hood for 6x7 75mm Shift ?

For the defraction I have not tested it, but taking in account that a K1/36MP starts defraction arround f11 and all focal lengt and aperture related things to the 6x7 are multiplied by a factor of ~2 this shoud not be a real issue at f22. f32 may be a starting issue but resolution of film ist usually below the K1-resolution.

The lens comes w/o lens hood, bit the hood from the 40/f4 works fine in shifted positions.

This lens was delveloped in a time when the 6x7 was manual only. Manual of the lens says that you should measure and set exposure first and shift aftewards. THis can be done in manual mod on a 67II the same way.

Reading and writing lens ROMs is no problem in general. Debug mode of old cameras like K7 has this option and is commonly used to switch old DA* lens from ultrasonic to screwdriver AF.
I remember some old discussions on a focus jump in one Limited that could be cured by a changed lens firmware

Hello
The new picture mode KYUSHU is only recognized for few limited lenses.

Is there any way to write the firmare of a DA40 to a DA40XS to make it compatible with the new camera firmware?

Lens hood for 6x7 75mm Shift ?

Hello

Just got this lens and ask myselfe whether the lens hood form the ordenary 75/4.5 would interfere with the field of view (I do not see clear impact in the WLF)?
Or is it better to use the lens hood form 45/4 which fits too?

Does anyone have experiences on the lens hood usage on this lens?

2nd question: The manual says stop down to 8 or 11 - any other experience here?

From my lens the Tamron 14/2.8AF and the 6x7 Fisheye (35/4.5) have this possibity - but I never used it.
Some of the new IRIX wide lens have this holder and Irix is selling ND Film Filters.

Hi

I know it is an old thread, but it is the closest I coud find to my topic.

I got some rolles 120 film from the INIDGO crowd fouding project and recently (with some delay) i used my 1st roll in my 6x7. In general pictures look nice but in all shots i found red light marks in dark areas.

Does anybody have an idea where this comes from? Failures in the film, xray-marks, failure in the lab? I am affaid the other rolls will show the same when I use them.

More pictures at Dies & Das / CineStillFilm 800T | Klaus-macht-Bilder.de .. mainly 135 shots

6x7 LS (Leave Shutter) Lens: Use on K-Bajonett
Posted By klaus123

Thank you - but I think I have been missunderstood: I want to use the 90LS as a Portrait Lens on the K1 and use the leave shutter under "normal" model shooting conditions to get short sync time of e.g. 1/500 under normal daylight conditons - In dark conditions I see no need for this.

So I rephrase the question: Is there any possibility to close the 6x7 - lens apperture by the internal camera lever? (This would trigger the shutter too)

After reviewing possible alternatives I am not clear which way to go...
Currently I have several Speedlights, a small Cactus Softbox and some Umbrellas - and in case accesss to a heavy Bowens System with 2 500WS heads (no HSS/TTL).
- One big advantage of bare flash bulbs (like studio strobe or RQ250) is the better light distribtion in big soft boxes (I do not have yet)
- On location the 60x60 SB is not too bad . the easiest and geapest way for more power would be a bracket that can fix 2 speedlights inside
- If I realy extend to a big SB for Studio use the bowens would do the job - I do not need HSS indoor
- many of the Akku-Alternatives are expensive, heavy or need another sender backpacked on the Cactus to enable Pentax HSS.

I think I will do some testing with a Bowens Studio-Flash and Pentax/Nikon Speedlights in a 60x90 Softbox to get a feeling for the needs before Photokina starts

I backed for a SuperEarlyBird with a Bowens-S-Mount and hope they will find enough backes.

I am using Cactus since they brought out the 1st V6 and meanwhile use V6II and RF60, It is a great system and the firmware support after purchasing was good so far - I realy can recommand to use that system.... and spend some bucks in the Kickstarter Campane.

are you happy with switching to FF?

Hello

I got my K1 app. 2 years ago...coming from a K3 & K01(which are still in use).

Even having a lot of lenses at that time I underestimated the effort for new lenses.

I started with a Tamron 28-75/2,8 and was very unsatisfied with - changing to a DFA24-70/2,8. For ocasional purpose (weight/range) I added meanwhile a Sigma UCIII 28-105 and a Tamron 24-135.

On the wide side DA12-24 and DA10-17 have the advantage that they cover FF with app. the same perspective as in Crop (> 16mm) ..... but I could not resist a Tamron 14/2,8 (AF) and a Fisheye-Takumar 17/4.

On the long side I still use the DA55-300WR on the K1 often because it is small and light - even it does not cover FF at all focal lengths. The weight of the long DFAs was much too high. My first compromise was a Sigma 100-300/4 (including 1,4 Converter) and later I added a DA200.

On the fast side the DA*55 works well on the K1 (as long as you do not use the original lens hood). The Sigma 30/1,4 and 24/1,8 were replaced by a 35Art and the Samyang 85 was replaces by a Sigma 85/1,4.

But I do not regret the change to FF.

Hello

Just in case you need some replacemets (like I needed) : The lens hood and the front ring (part with filer thread) are identical with the Tamron 24-70 G1 parts, but 1/2...1/3 of the price (in Germany at least)

Hello

I have the 135Macro, 165/2,8 and the 200/4 - in most cases I take the 165 with me and leave the others at home. For both non-Macros you should look an extension Ring I - minimum distance of the lens ist often too short.
