I, along with most k-5 and k-5ii owners, have the overexposure with bounce flash problem.
My workaround, which works on most occasions, is to simply dial exposure compensation -for the
flash only- not general exposure compensation, to -2. The overexposure is generally about 2 stops,
so this works out okay most of the time.

The lake picture is a little deceiving. It was very cold that day, about 40 or so with a strong north wind. I was out of the
car for no more than 10-15 minutes at a time taking pictures.
p.s. I think there are Da Vinci codes everywhere.

DXO Optics Pro. If it has your camera and lens, it is great. It takes an extra step to throw it into Photoshop, but it's
well worth it. I did a comparison last year on about 20 raw images. DXO was better than Camera Raw in about 15.
4 were too close to call and in one ACR was better. YMMV.
