I certainly would like that. The problem is that in most markets the service techs are all one company with so/so quality when it comes to anything but their digital cameras. This is at least true for all German speaking countries and i discovered that in more than one occasion first hand.

Its all cool as long as the devices do not need an extra ssid to understand that the used wifi is 5ghz plus 2.4ghz ;)

Yesm that us true on one hand, on the other I have a Helios 40 which is exactly this kind of m39 lens and I do hit infinity just fine wide open, let alone stopped down. The question is if the lens is made to specs or if it is made to m42 specs in the first place

I have a cheapo thin metal adapter which converts between the two threads. the biggest pain is when it does not stay on the lens and gets "lost" in between lens and camera. Other than that, adapters made to specs work and the flange focal distance between "Zenit" 39mm and M42 is almost the same (Zenit is 0.04mm shorter or so)

A Z1 II would be tempting indeed, a lesser version not so much

ONce it works flawlessly for me, one absolutely not. The fuller the SD Card (256gb) the higher the chance of no connection

Regarding silver from prints and film development... It is always the two topics environmentally and economically feasible. It also always depends on where you draw the boarder of your analysis.
Regarding cameras/sensors. I would love to see more trade in, upgrade and recycle programs. Recycle much in the sense of reuse, since that is the best form of recycling

Those are cameras to show off, like limited Leica cameras. Could you shoot with those? yes, but you probably wont to not damage it...
I do like the appearence though.

But one still can wish for a "fullframe" Pentax 645Z replacement :D
speedwise fullframe 35mm does make much more sense though and if you can have everything inside a smaller package, that is worth something too
