i like how they left the noise reduction on the a700 on while the k20d's was off. all in all it was a pretty decent review. i think they brought up some irrelevant issues too often but oh well.

:D Just bought the sigma 100-300 f4 :D lets hope it turns out as good as it looks.

Adorama now has the sigma 50mm 1.4 listed for $499 but its not available quite yet. i wonder how much the DA* 55mm will be.

i dont like sigma anyway and my work allows me to get early copies of certain products. so i get the tamron 70-200 for $552 and i get the k20d( getting that in two weeks) for $829

I have the Da*50-135 and i am thinking of selling it for the Tamron 70 - 200mm f/2.8 DI LD (IF) Macro or maybe just buying the tammy. I already have the 28-75 f/2.8 so i am not sure if i really need my da* and i dont know which has better optical quality.
Any suggestions.

Well i just got the tammy 28-75 and I absolutley love it. but if you dont plan on many landscapes you could get the bigma. (and just put the da 21 in your pocket, no one will know)

regardless of price which one will have the fastest focus and which one wil have the best iq.? I need a good prime mid range zoom.

i called them and they said that they have to call pentax to verify the availabillty, so im not sure exactly what that means. maybe it means that the person i talked to doesnt know anything about pentax, or maybe it means that we really are getting a pentax medium format digital. not sure what to think, but chances are no

I was thinking about getting some studio strobes, however i dont want to spend too much more than five hundred dollars max. Should i get a three light kit or should i just get that alienbees ringflash. portability isnt a huge issue but it would be nice. also I am flying cross coundtry this summer and im doing a few portraits in exchange for a place to stay. any advice?

nothing, I was just curious. I would feel kind of jipped if i bought it and two weeks later pentax announced a 580fgz or something

Since pentax just came out with two new cameras and a few new lenses, will we be seeing a new flash anytime soon? I have the 360 I am looking at upgrading, however I am not in any hurry at all. Should I wait and see.

im looking at getting a decent spot meter but i dont know anything about them. i do use flash a bit more often so is there anytyhing that spot meters and meters flash?

IM assuming people have seen this video but im posting it anyway.
PMA Show Report: Pentax K20D and K200D
it looks like the shake reduction works pretty well, even with the live view. And the big prints look fairly impressive. hard to tell though because its a bad quality video

i use a nikon hot shoe adapter for monolights and it works fine, i dont know why a nikon flash wouldnt.

I wonder if the 20 frames per second is full res. if the noise preformance is better and the 14.6 megapixels are not only in a 16:9 ratio then i might get one ill have to see once it comes out but wow good find.

If the Gx-20 and the k20d are going to be the same would it be worth the extra bit of money just for the pentax name. im a bit on edge about switching to anything but a true pentax. how much you think i could sell my k10 for to upgrade or should i just save up and keep it as an extra body.
