I was wondering if anybody has arrived at any conclusions about this... I have recently bought the above lens to use with my two Pentax - K-5 and film SLR - as well as with my CSC (I have an adaptor for this). The lens fitted my adaptor and my Pentax SLR fine, but it doesn't want to talk to my K-5 mount. Comparing to other k-mount lenses I have the aperture lever seems a bit different, however it is not stuck or seems broke or loose. I have checked the pictures here and it even looks different from the examples of PK and CY mounts so I am a very puzzled. Had it not fitted my other Pentax I would probably see what was wrong with it. Any ideas please?
Thank you.

I agree. They say "small sensor with a surprising performance". So we can only wait and see test shots and reviews before judging it. And it is not expensive at all.

I nearly bought a micro 4/3 recently to keep company to my K-r. But then decided to go with a beautiful premium compact, as it did not want two cameras with a bulk of lenses (I have 5 for my K-r), and I would probably use the DSLR less and less. Then I thought - and if departed from my DSLR and had all cameras smaller? Gave up the idea, as I love my K-r. Last week, bought the compact and my boyfriend said - "who knows, Pentax might release something within the mirrorless market". Here we go. After weeks of anxiety about deciding on a new camera, the rollercoaster starts again... I am definetely very curious about these cameras performance and - don't they look stunning?

Hello there,
I have an old flash, a Mirage MV-328 (from the 90's...), and the other day I tested with my K-r and it worked fine. I did a series of portraits and was overall happy with the results.
But I somehow was uncomfortable with the idea of having done this as it is a flash for SLR's, not DSLR's. I am now aware that is dangerous to do this, of course, but I am just wondering if I have done any damage to the circuit. Is the fact that it worked fine a good sign? I don't have it how to test with a proper flashgun at the moment, would the damage be to the flash functionality or to the camera?
I will later test the flash voltage - cannot find any information on this brand on the net, only people selling it... - but would you guys know what is voltage compatibility of the K-r?
Many thanks in advance.

Somebody told me it was a matter of settings - the shutter was set to not fire wjilst the flash was charging... What was weird as this was not the setting it was on before - I did not even know this setting existed, never had my previous camera, a K-m, on it enither this... Here we go, hope it does not happen again....

I know that the autoflash does not fire if not required, fair enough, but as soon as I set the flash to auto, it pops up and the shutter doesn't work. Has anyone had the same problem? Thanks.
