How are ye all?
Nothing from any of you for a long time.
Life goes on, sleep, eat, work and other things.

The problems of centre of gravity often catch people out in many moving machines.
I once got a Honda CRV where the manual warned about that.
Also wondered when my neighbour’s builder got a crane in to lift stuff over my house to a deck on the scaffolding outside his place.

Looks like Boeing should toss out the 737MAX and get out the old drawings and make 737Classic.

Coming in 32 oz quantity shows it is an antiquity. The sign has done well to be readable over 50 years on.

It is raining here today. The rain extends across Wales and England and is predicted to go on for several hours. And MrsTim asked me to go to Waitrose along Botley Road to get their Friday discount deal on some fish, and some dry aged steak if that is on discount. The fish is 20% off for Friday. I guess that in the days of Queen Elizabeth I, that would have been a capital crime, punishable by burning at the stake (not burning the steak).
The labourers have still not bothered themselves to build the underpass at the train station, despite having the road closed for nearly a year and when they began the closure having a video on LinkedIn that in Germany the labourers had the energy to do an equivalent job in four days. The English labourers took more than four days to put up the road blocks. Perhaps that is why Germany keeps beating England at soccer.

There is something incomprehensible to the rest of the world about how we Australians talk.
After 35 years of being MrsTiim, MrsTim still finds it incomprehensible.

Very sad news. It is shocking to hear that it happened so suddenly. My heart felt condolences.

I have that feeling today. Went GP for test at opening time in the morning. Got told to go to A&E at the hospital as a way a rapidly working through the referrals that otherwise might take weeks or months. At A&E I saw the world. A guest of His Majesty who normally lives in a big house arrived hand cuffed to a very stocky grumpy looking man and followed by two police. Saw them in another place when I left. A quite rude lady who had her own A&E consult and later appeared in the place I was referred to with a friend. She chooses rude friends too. And three employees of His Majesty appeared. One brought the other two, announced the situation to the reception counter and left, to go back to work. Made for a long and dull day.

What kind of grapes are they. Most grapes are pruned to 2 buds but the canes on those vines are much longer - are they sultana/Zinfandel?

Tonsley was the local car factory to where I grew up.
When Tonsley was the only profitable Chrysler factory in the world the managers in Detroit felt embarrassed that the Australian managers could make profit when they were not good enough to be able to, so they announced closing the factory. Sold it to Mitsubishi and 30 years later the same story with different actors and places.

The ROI on that is very high. It was his medical school classmate who is a respiratory specialist who invested in the seating as a way to increase their business.

There are no stobie poles there.
Funny, I was telling a story about the invention of the stobie pole yesterday. Something about them being useful for converting your car into scrap metal.

I have had plastic lenses most or all of the past pairs. Most times I had to get replacement glasses because the frames got old. I only recall one pair where the lenses got too scratched. The trick is to only use the microfibre cloths to clean. Current glasses date from 2019. They are getting a bit tired now so one day in the next couple of years I will get back to the shop.

Four days is amazing.
Hopefully we are all still going and remain literate enough to make contributions.
On another thread Racer said he acquired a replacement eye lens after cataract surgery. He said he prefers the golden tinge of the cataracted eye over the clear colour of the new one. Clearly, next time he should ask for a Pentax lens made of thorium glass. Then over time it will go golden unless he goes outside too often.

And it is all wasted because the house wiring is copper and the supply is aluminium, all made by routine methods.
And you would not improve things by buying your own Honda generator.
