I agree, quite different. Just playing with the words of prior statements herein.

Wycliffe’s work was important in the history of the world because of the things that followed.

The ABC news I saw today said some American died of Black Death.

The news yesterday said a LATAM 787 hit turbulence between Sydney and Auckland that resulted in 50 people being taken to hospital and some people had hit the plastic ceiling panels hard enough to break them. Guess the repairs will take a few days. Sydney airport also had to receive a United flight that turned back because something went wrong.

Clearly something wrong with Sydney Airport. Or is that a wrong deduction based on only looking at the common factor?

Tend to agree. I do not like the faf of having to login to the phone, find the app on a different screen scroll, and the do whatever is needed to use it, and it all falls over if batteries go flat.

Managing the remaining charge on my phone for the day I spent at the hospital a month ago was hard because I had used it like I would be able to recharge at 10am.

And after a while they will put up a statue of the person in a prominent place near the Capitol Hill in DC, just like the English did for Wycliffe.

The problems of centre of gravity often catch people out in many moving machines.

I once got a Honda CRV where the manual warned about that.

Also wondered when my neighbour’s builder got a crane in to lift stuff over my house to a deck on the scaffolding outside his place.

Another Boeing has crashed, in Australia. Guess the big shed cannot be blamed. It was the 1941 model. A Stearman biplane. Pictures make it look like all they need to do is roll it back on its wheels and then get going again.

Sounds like the Wiz light I bought recently. I thought it was pretty useless. Cannot be connected to a dimmer switch, even set to max. So all control beyond on/off must be from the app, which needs every person in the house to be introduced to it. And the app did not work smoothly.

But I have been using led lights all round the house for a few years.

Sainsbury dimmable led lights are real dogs, very likely to flicker either with on/off switch or with low power led dimmer switches.

Looks like Boeing should toss out the 737MAX and get out the old drawings and make 737Classic.

Don’t count on a small city making trips quicker. Oxford has under 200k and it can take an hour to go 1 mile at some times of the day, even at the weekend.

They built a new shopping centre a few years back. Before Christmas when everyone goes there the last mile to it in both directions gets clogged up and takes an hour, even on Sunday afternoon, because it is only one lane each way and people clog the road hoping for entry to the car park. To avoid that road, if you are going through, needs at least 5 miles extra drive, along congested roads. And there is no choice but to put up with it if you are trying to access the area near Speedwell Street.

They say English people like queues, so they enjoy this so much they do not want to make it any different.

Yesterday I had to go to the far place I work sometimes. I got just east of Buckingham and there was a queue. Delayed me nearly an hour. When I got to the problem there were four broken cars, one upside down in the ditch, one shoved in half way at the back on the driver’s side and a couple of others bashed enough the insurance company would not repair. And at least one person had been taken away in an ambulance. The other road east of Buckingham was blocked by a traffic jam too. I had already gone that way and the app turned me away from that to the road I got stuck on. And then I had to get through roundabout city at peak time. Milton Keynes.

Coming in 32 oz quantity shows it is an antiquity. The sign has done well to be readable over 50 years on.

It is raining here today. The rain extends across Wales and England and is predicted to go on for several hours. And MrsTim asked me to go to Waitrose along Botley Road to get their Friday discount deal on some fish, and some dry aged steak if that is on discount. The fish is 20% off for Friday. I guess that in the days of Queen Elizabeth I, that would have been a capital crime, punishable by burning at the stake (not burning the steak).

The labourers have still not bothered themselves to build the underpass at the train station, despite having the road closed for nearly a year and when they began the closure having a video on LinkedIn that in Germany the labourers had the energy to do an equivalent job in four days. The English labourers took more than four days to put up the road blocks. Perhaps that is why Germany keeps beating England at soccer.

Went to London today. Interesting day of work here. On the way home. They have changed the buses going back so I got on the wrong one and had to get off at Marble Arch to get the next one which is express to Oxford.

While I was waiting at Marble Arch I saw 6 fire engines and an ambulance and a police car turn into a side street in Mayfair, opposite Hyde Park. That is the posh bit of town, not far from a couple of the king’s houses.

There is something incomprehensible to the rest of the world about how we Australians talk.

After 35 years of being MrsTiim, MrsTim still finds it incomprehensible.

What kind of grapes are they. Most grapes are pruned to 2 buds but the canes on those vines are much longer - are they sultana/Zinfandel?

I have that feeling today. Went GP for test at opening time in the morning. Got told to go to A&E at the hospital as a way a rapidly working through the referrals that otherwise might take weeks or months. At A&E I saw the world. A guest of His Majesty who normally lives in a big house arrived hand cuffed to a very stocky grumpy looking man and followed by two police. Saw them in another place when I left. A quite rude lady who had her own A&E consult and later appeared in the place I was referred to with a friend. She chooses rude friends too. And three employees of His Majesty appeared. One brought the other two, announced the situation to the reception counter and left, to go back to work. Made for a long and dull day.

Clearly the seller named the lens for the size of filter it uses, kind of like a plumber naming pipe fittings.
