Thank you once again.
I actually was using a 10 stop but the changing light was playing havoc with my calculations so I stopped. This was 1/6 of a second with no filter. This is very boring in colour but b/w and a fair bit of pp got it to this. It's far from perfect but hey it's just like the photographer. LOL

Thanks Davidw0815. Your first is a bit special. Great illumination on the water to make the boat silhouettes stand out.
SpecialK I like the bike. Something about it makes it 'pop' off the screen for me. Very nice

Hurling (Irish: Iománaíocht/Iomáint) is an outdoor team game of ancient Gaelic origin, administered by the Gaelic Athletic Association. The game has prehistoric origins, has been played for over 9,000 years,[1] and is thought to be the world's fastest field team game in terms of game play.[1][2][3] One of Ireland's native Gaelic games.

Sergiu, I see you have hosted for quite some time now. Are you aware that rules dictate that the host reviews the weekly submissions, possibly offering some commentary but most importantly the host must pick a favorite and pass the the honor of hosting on to the image owner by private message.

I just got back from a holiday in Co Kerry. I'll post in the new thread.

SMC M f1.7 50mm
I read somewhere that this lens was optimised for f2.0 but commercialised at f1.7 but can't help using the full f1.7 where light permits. DOF is tight and I find that i get variations in focus with portriature photos. https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/attachments/weekly-photo-challenges/12199...2012-ronan.jpg
Good bokeh? or too much?
I'd be interested to know, for those that use this lens "What do you shoot?" or What style of photgraphy brings out the best in this lens?

Hi db3 and welcome. Believe me, at 36 you're a child. LOL I'm fairly new also, to photography and this site. The guys here are very friendly except those guys in 'Critique' - they don't tend to do pink and fluffy. I jest. its all good constructive criticism I just haven't the nerve to submit one of my own.
Manual focus glass? I (and many others) would highly reccommend this lens as a cheap start. SMC Pentax-M 50mm F1.7 Reviews - M Prime Lenses - Pentax Lens Reviews & Lens Database
Anyway, enjoy your stay.
