I love you Photos in you Flickr folio. I lived in Vegas 11 years ago and always had my point and shoot with me. I wish I would of has an slr at the time.

I live in Southern Idaho and just ordered a Pentax K-X from BHPhoto, and it is scheduled to arrive this friday! I am stoked to be getting this camera. I am new to DSLR and have a lot to learn.
When I began my search I assumed I would be buying a Nikon or Canon DSLR, but after reading a researching for a few weeks I kept coming back to the KX as the right camera for me.
once I Begin to learn the camera and get some shots I consider to be good I will share them, but I am the type that wants the honest feedback. Don't sugar coat my pics if you don't like them. The only way I can improve is with honest feedback.
My Photoshop Skills are pretty good and I am looking forward to attempting some HDR pics. I love the look of HDR pics, in particualr ones that look like this one HDR 01 | Flickr - Photo Sharing!.
I will use that pic as inspiration as that is a style I really like, but before I start that I need to learn to use my Camera. I have already learned a lot on this forum and look forward to interacting with everyone on here.:)

Thanks Geekette for re-affirming my purchase! I did ALOT of reading and researching and am extremely glad with my purchase. I keep looking at my UPS tracking number every hour. I will have it by friday evening.
Here where I live in Idaho all of the DSLR's I have seen in the last year have always been a Nikon or Canon.

TriState also has the KX starting at around $489.00 for a brand new Chocolate colored KX.
I was orginally going to order from TriState but after the guy told me I would not have my camera until next week, even if I oaid for overnight shipping I thanke dhim for his time and called BHPhoto. My order will be here in time for me to use it this weekend.

I am new to Digital SLR's. I ordered a KX this morning from B and H. It is refurbished but I am cool with that. I began researching cameras a few weeks ago and just assumed I would be buying. Nikon or Canon,but after reading and researching tons of cameras I decided the KX is exactly what I need. I wanted the KR but after looking at it the KX was still the right camera for me.
This is my first Dslr and my first Pentax. it will be here on Friday and I can't wait!

I ordered a refurbished KX kit from BH this morning. I am on my phone so can't paste link but give them a call if you don't mind a refurbished KX.
