Looking to trade my beloved Silver K-5 and Silver 31mm for a Black K-5 and 60-250mm
The Silver K-5 works perfectly and is in excellent condition. The 31mm looks great with the K-5 but, I don't really like it when it is paired with a black lens, and might like the grip on the black k-5 better(will have to check stores again)thats the only reasons I am trading.
Both the Silver K-5 and the Silver 31mm is few months old, the K-5 was purchase new from Penfor on this forum, and the 31mm was purchased locally in Canada(still under the two year warranty).
The K-5 I would rank it 9.5/10, it is perfect except for a tiny paint lost in top of the flash(picture coming up) otherwise it is in perfect condition, both LCD was protected by screen protector since day one, and the bottom was protected by a tripod plate.
The Silver 31mm is flawless except for a some two hair line scratches on the cap(not the lens itself). It was protected with a Silver B+W filter(Included) since day one. The glass and the barrel is in flawless condition.
I have all the accessory, box, packaging material, everything that comes new etc etc for both lens and camera.
I am looking to trade for a Black K-5 with late serial number and a 60-250mm F4 in similar condition as my camera and lens.
Or will trade the Silver k-5 for a black k-5 + cash as well.

The Tamron 17-50mm is great, comparable to the Pentax 16-50mm in terms of picture quality but it doesnt do 16mm and lack weather sealing. And build quality is VERY SLIGHTLY worst than the Pentax. And for the Tamron 70-200mm is a really sharp lens but it lack SDM/HSM/USM/SSM etc, still it is a great lens.
As for Sigma I only experience with their EX series lens(50-150mm, 18-50mm f2.8, 105m macro, 50mm f1.4 etc for other mounts) and they are great. I personally feel that SIGMA's QC have improve in recent years, as I rarely need to send back lens to Sigma for calibration.

I actually want a DA-Limited or FA-Limted 21-24mm F1.8. So I get around 35mm in with APS-C sensor.

You can try to put it into a container with rice to absorb the moisture(for a day or 2), but make sure that rice didn't get in side the camera.

Get a 5-in-1 reflector as A-Z mention. You could also use white or reflective cardboard or white cloth to get similar result.
And bring extra batter and memory card.

Not at that price it is just too much compare to the black k-5. And all you get is a silver body and a glass screen without anti-glare coating.

Not sure why you guys think that is not legit. Prodigital2000 has the K-5 for 1150 on ebay, subtract shipping, ebay fees and paypal fees. They get about 1050 net.

Sorry is not 1039, it is 1059 + tax.
Is a local retailer in Toronto that I go to. They dont have a website or anything and they only do local sales, but if you want their info PM about it.
And I don't think they hire any employee to keep their cost low. And maybe also a special pricing for me since I have been getting my lens Nikon lens from him for a while before I switch to Pentax.
