please help me. i have to decide quickly if it is worth to upgrade from DA L 55-300 to DA 55-300. i am satisfied with my DA L lens performances, but i wonder if the DA lens has better optical performance (i know it is not a plastic mount). thank you

thank for the replies.
this are the information i was looking about.
i am using a pentax k-x. i think a can get a 55-300 for about 200 euro, i never thought that the 55-300 is such a great performer. normhead recommends the sigma 18-250. maybe a go for it if this truly is such a great lens. any more review are welcome here. ccd333 said 70-300 apo. this is the lens you are talking about? Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 APO DG Macro
great help so far. best regards.
what about the Tamron 24-135mm f/3.5-5.6 MAKRO AD IF Anniversary Edition Objektiv for Pentax? i saw good review regarding this lens.

hello everyone.
i have a pentax k-x. is there any reasons to change my camera to a k-7? i read at snapsort that the image quality is better with the k-x.
i use my camera to indoor shots, and i am interested in image quality, good/fast focus.... with the k-7 can i see in the viewfinder where is the focus point?
should i go for that change or keep my k-x (and later go for a 5d:))))) ).
thanks. piskota

the 40mm was an old lens, with some mechanical problems. when i changed the shooting axes i heard a clucking noise, so i decided to sale it.
where i shooting my indoor photos, counts the difference in focal length between 40mm and 35mm lenses. i don't have too much space inside.

do you recommend this lens for indoor(studio)/outdoor work? i just sold my old 40mm limited lens, i think to buy this one from the money, but i am interested if you recommend this 35mm plastic-case lens. i read already the lens reviews, but i need some encouragement. thanks.

thanks. but usually i work with a tripod, if i select the center spot as autofocus point, i can't move the camera to recompose the image. in the marked section i do not have any reference if i have a clean focus or not. my main problem is that i don't know where to point the camera. you could denote the focus points in the marked sections where do you believe it is? thanks.

i have a k-x. i have serious trouble when i search focus points during photo sessions mostly between F2.8 - 4.5, i find very rarely a clean, nice focus.
what can i do? my camera do not show me where the focus is. please help me.
i have problem mostly in the marked sections. the camera works good. thanks. piskota

thanks for all reviews. i go for the vivitar and later if i can found one at a resonable price, i will buy a YN560. i don't want to return to the metz 48, my target is a good and powerful slave flash, and the vivitar is at the half price of the metz (second hand market).

thanks. i heard also good opinions about the vivitar 285hv. i am interested if the vivitar matches in power the metz 48 or is it more powerful. what about the sigma ef 430st as fill flash?

thanks. and the "power" of the vivitar 285hv?
meanwhile i find a very-very cheap sigma ef 430st flash unit for sony, but i can use it with a trigger.
is that a solution for a secondary or fill light?
where i live i can find the Yongnuo YN560 unfortunately.
thanks. piskota

happy new year!
a recently sold my metz 48 af flash unit. now i wish to buy a vivitar 285hv. it is a withdraw step or the vivitar match in quality and power the metz 48. I wish to use it as fully manual, slave unit, as second- or hairlight.
the vivitar needs a trigger as the cactus v4 (it dosen't have a built in sensor)?
thanks. piskota

RioRico. good point of view...
i already made those shoots. it seems that the 28mm range is perfect for my place... I find very useful the 21 and the 28 mm range.
i already have a 90 mm macro tamron for portraits, FA 50mm 1.4 and a kit lens. I am fraid about that pancake design and the distortion (i read about it) in case of the 21mm lens. I also read that the FA 28 mm is not too sharp..... and it is rare lens (in Europe at least). the 35 mm lens is a constraint solution, because that range is already at the limits regarding my place. the price of the lens> max 500$. i try to avoid the zoom lens. (?)
what do you recommend? thanks for everyone. piskota
