Photoshop and photomatix (a little too much photomatix).

I grew up in PA, but now live on the Gulf Coast.

Theswitch does just slip to AF.S to AF.C to MF with little or no resistance. The screw drive doesn't extend when I switch out of manual focus. I guess you're right I have a manual focus camera, but would a lens an auto focus motor in the lens body help at all.

I have 2 lenses SMC-DA 18-55 and a SMC-DA 50-200
Firmware is 1.3
Lens is properly mounted, I have used the camera for a couple of years
AF/MF switch is on the camera.
I have the same problem on both lenses

HI,
I was gifted a Pentax K10D, by a good friend who told me there was a problem with the Auto focus. When I switch the MF/AF switch to AF, the camera still says MF in view screen. I do not want to think I have to send it in to get repaired, as I can not really afford that, and I wanted to know is there some sort of repair I could do on my own. I still can take pictures in MF, but I would really like to have auto-focus with my camera.

Thanx
