I know the difference between the technology. My question simply is, would you say P-TTL deserves a $100 markup from just a regular TTL flash?

My comparison is the Sigma EF610 DG and the Sigma EF610 DG Super

what about bringing out the rust on the sockets and the chisel (?, i think its a chisel bottom left) and leave the rest in the sepia-ish? .. I am just saying that because you like what the rust brings to the table and you like the sepia-ish. For me to pick one I like better, umm, I think I would pick the sepia-ish because the converse shoe is very retro and the first image brings a vintage feel to it. But, to modernize it a little bit, adding that rust into it may do that.

I will be using it on manual focus 90% if not 100% of the time as well. I guess I am more torn between the sigma 10-20 and the tammy 17-50. The tammy is catching my eye especially with the quickness and the sigma is keeping me interested because its a lens I have wanted for a while. I think the 10-20 would be better for landscape and portrait shots, no?

well i know for sure the 10-20 will be purchased in the near future. I have read reviews and saw outcomes of all lenses and theyre all amazing. I will be doing rolling shots of cars too so the 10-20 and 10-24 would really be beneficial there. My friend has the sigma and the photos are unreal for car photography. I plan to order one today.

I see with the sigma though that for Canon and Nikon the lens is has HSM, how much of a difference will I notice of not having the HSM?

Hey everyone, I'm looking to buy a wide angle lens and get it in the mail before I leave for Florida on Feb. 2nd. I am torn between 3 and they are Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8, Tamron SP AF 10-24mm f / 3.5-4.5, or Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6. Pleaseee any input will be appreciated!

trust me.. i am in the same boat, well was in the same boat until i read the actual reviews and differences a little more. I am soooo happy that I chose my K-r over anything I was considering. The cons of the K-r over other cameras I was looking at didn't phase me. Especially the amount of available lenses (90). I don't think they're taking into consideration of the available lenses from the 35mm SLR's. Also, you will not find anywhere Canon or Nikon is mentioned that Pentax was the company who invented the 35mm SLR!

Off-Camera Lighting

Hey what's up? I am looking to get lighting involved with my photography now and I was looking into the Lumo Pro flash for off-camera manual flash lighting. Here is the link: LumoPro LP160 Quad Sync Manual Flash MPEX .. my question is, does anyone know if this is compatible with the k-r?

My thoughts are that it is, I just need to get the PC to Hot Shoe adapter. Then I can get a long Miniphone to PC synchro cable.

Now, I want to hear your thoughts.

Thanks!!

Snappy Zoom Lens?..

Hey guys I am looking for a nice zoom lens. Preferably to 200mm. I am possibly getting media credentials for the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs baseball team and I am looking for a lens that will be a nice zoom, and snappy. I have been seeing reviews of many zoom lenses with the con of being slightly slow. Any ideas?

Thanks ahead
