many thanks Avant, maybe it is a misconfiguration, maybe it is a camera fault? but if one has not had problems using off camera flash via adapter, cable , and now wireless mode is giving one headache, then yes cable and adapter falls into the category of stick with what you know.

hello all, and a merry xmas .
i have just bought a flash bracket, for use on my k10d, for macro work i have a 360 pentax flash, and have tried using it in wireless mode , i find it is to much messing about, slaves chanells pre flashes, and so on, and the manual is not very explicit, or maybe my brain is not on parr with einsteins. Anyway i just want to use flash hot shoe adapter, off camera lcable etc, bung them on and away i go, the question is i think these leads are quite expensive , and rare on e bay, but when i used a nikon f80 they where a lot cheaper and easy to get hold of on ebay. now then can i use any other leads and adapters that may be cheape, i know you can use other flashes if trigger voltage is low enough, so would this mean you could use the leads etc that come with it?????????????????.
forgive my ignorance, butmany thanks for any info you could supply me with................... KC.
ps happy new year and good health to you all~~~

great advice LOWELL , and probably the only solution to the problem ,
although i tried to mount lens on x2 converter and it worked i then mounted both on camera and both work, strange ? So now i dont know if i should leave converter on , and have greater magnification ratio, or doctor the lens , What do you think.
many thanks Lowell~~~~ kev

Hi All,
Can Any One Help Me, I Own A K10d, And One Of My Lenses Is A Vivitar 28-90, I Have Just Bought A Vivitar Series 1 28-105mm, Of Ebay In Germany, Not A Mark On It As New Even Straps And Booklet Remain Unopened, I Emailed Seller, And He Told Me Its Mount Was A K Mount , Couldnt Wait It Came Today And When I Looked At It I Couldnt Believe Its Condition, Mint, tried Putting It On K10d Very Gently, No Joy It Would Not Fit If Just For The Last Click, I Compared The Mount Code On Barrel And It Is Slightly Different To The 28-90mm.
The 28-90 Is Marked Thus P/k-a, And The 28-105 Is Marked Pk-a/r ??
Does Any One Have Any Ideas, Can I Obtain Any Sort Of Adapter?, I Dont Have Any Answer Or Idea, Hope Someone May Help, .
Many Thanks Kc

LENS ARRIVED TODAY BOXED AND GLEAMING NOT A MARK TIGHT ZOOM EVEN THE BOOKLETS AND STRAPS HAVE NOT BEEN OPENED, AND ALL FOR 60£, COULDNT WAIT TO TRY IT ONK10, ANYWAY IT DID NOT FIT, I LOOKED AT DETAILS ON LENS BARREL, AND THEY ARE SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT,.
THE 28-90, IS MARKED THUS P/K-A , BUT THE 28-105, IS MARKED PK-A/R , CAN ANYONE TRY AND RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM FOR ME, AND IN TURN PUT A SMILE ON MY FACE ONCE MORE, MAYBE I COULD USE AN ADAPTER PLATE??????????? IF THEIR IS ONE .............

yes James but would it not be nice also to see your particular camera of choice, and in depth lessons and tricks that you dont already know, the pentax manual isnt so in depth with k 10d, and in uk i have found no outlets for alternative manuals, i my self had a nikon d70 and did not fall head over heals for it like i did for the k 10d, love at first touch.
yet when i had the nikon every magazine i picked up extolled its virtues.
anyway James thanks for mail time for tea.~~~~~~~~~~~ KC
