Has anyone owned or tried both of these lenses? I know the build is better with HD but I’m more concern on the quality of images. I read that the HD has better contrast, less flare and less ghosting on images? But is it really worth paying that bit extra for the HD version, or does standard version still produce quality images too?

drougge = Nice B/W pics , how have you set up your dial settings to achieve these shots? I'm still new to Q and finding it the dial set ups a bit difficult to to get to grips with.

I've just tested my Q for the first time @ a recent music concert and was surprised by the quality of the shots in low light , no flash and with the Prime 01 lens.
i was worried with the lack of zoom, I would get poor grainy shots but I was happy with the results I got.

I've recently purchased the Pentax Q and wondered if anyone has experienced it with the
SMC/Super-/Auto-Takumar 55mm F2 lens
I have this lens at home and never used it but thought it might fit nicely with the Q.
I've not had a lot of experienced with manual lens' and have ordered a cheap m42 adaptor to use this lens on the Q,
Would it be possible to get nice results from this lens?

It's currently too expensive for me to buy but It would cost even more for me if i were to upgrade to a more expensive body like the K-5 and then buy the lens. As long as I could get results from the 31mm limited on the K-X then I would be happy to save up for the lens.
What other lens would you consider that are cheaper options but produces similar results to the 31mm limited lens.

I've seen great images produced from the 31mm limited lens but I haven't seen a lot of images taken with this lens on the K-X, I know it's expensive but wondered if anyone on here uses this on their K-X and could they provide some examples taken with this lens?

I managed to buy this lens but it didn't come with a lens cap , can anyone provide me a link to a good place to buy a cheap lens cap for the this lens, unsure what size i will need to get the right fit.

Thanks chongmic, the zooms seems good from your images, I've ordered the old LD lens with macro 1:3.9, I know that isn't great but I don't plan using the lens for close up of flowers or bugs. My budget was tight and it seemed like a good choice for my first for my first 70-300m lens.

Hi
I've recently got a Super-Takumar 1:2/55 Asahi Lens and wondered what type of adapter would i need to make it fit and work on my Pentax K-X, it's my first non auto-focus lens and wondered if anyone had any experience with this lens?

Hi
I'm a newbie when its comes to different lens and am looking for a cheap affordable long range lens with auto focus, I've been looking at the Tamron AF 75-300mm F/4-5.6 LD and wondered would this lens work with the K-X and other Pentax DSLR's with auto focus, This is the lens on ebay |
