Thanks Nesster. The third photo is our favorite too. Gonna print it darkroom style next week.
Buck's a photojournalist and his wife's a newswoman. Here are some of his photos Flickr: buck pago's Photostream
We also have another friend who named his baby boy Zeiss. Am thinking Takuma for mine if I end up with a boy, and Lux for a girl. We're crazy that way.
Konica's always made really good cameras and lenses. They were just too low key to succeed in today's market. A little like Pentax hehehe

Thanks Steve! This is good news. They ran out of stock before and when I checked (several times) they didn't have it for a while. Great to know it's being offered again.

Thanks Nesster. I got a few 100ft rolls of Arista Premium 400 when they were still available. Been trying to find the best time and dilution for pushing this to 1600, seeing that Neopan 1600 is gone.

That is a great camera!
AF is very quick and the metering is spot on.
You have a choice of Program, Aperture Priority and Manual modes.
The lens is as good as the classic Leica 35/2 Summicrons.
I can handhold it to about 1/10s in low light.
It's very quiet and it even has a quieter stealth mode that just turns you into a ninja when shooting street/docu scenes.
When you finish the roll, it spools the film back into the canister and it pauses a bit before the end so that you can open the back and the film leader tongue is still out. Very useful when you develop your own film. You don't have to destroy the film cassette.
I consider it the perfect point and shoot. The only drawback is the size.

Nesster, rparmar, tuco, thanks for the kind words.
The P67 + great light result in really nice photographs. I used Portra 160VC in the first and Portra 160NC in the second.
BTW, for those wondering if the P67 can be used handheld, these were shot handheld under natural light. The first at 1/30 indoors beside a huge window and the second 1/125 on the roof in the late afternoon.

Guys,
I actually bought a set of 4 SMC 50/1.2's in very similar condition and circumstances from India a couple of years back.
I sold one for US$ 100. The other 2 are still in a box somewhere. The fourth one was in really bad shape and missing some parts. I had my best CLA guy fix it up. This is how it looks like now.
It has a crack on the front element which i've covered with black gaffer's tape (see picture).
I also used gaffer's tape as part of the focusing ring replacement.
It still takes nice pictures though. See next post.

It does mention Pentax in the same sentence as those lenses ending in -lux. That's great company!

Yep. I guess I can set it to shutter priority and adjust the speed until I get the aperture that I want. I got the MZ-5N exactly for the same reason you did hehe

Frank,
How'd you control the aperture on the MZ-5N?
Am 90% certain to get this lens on my next trip to Singapore. How much does it retail over there? And what colors are available? I want a silver one to match my MZ-5N.
Cheers
