A difficult shot of a surfer in a tube on a dangerous rock break wave in Australia. This action shot was taken hand held on a rock precariously perched close to the ocean, I used a method of holding my elbows together to reduce lens movement, although this lens is heavy and coupled with that I had to race to safety every now and then from exploding swells. The surfer's yellow board also highlights the colour against the wave, which is inches from rocks underneath the wave..

Shot photos for a camp last week. Was running late to a camper belly-flop contest. Approached the water-front just as first kid was going in the water. Raised the camera, quick focus, and shot. Had no idea the perfection of the timing on it until I got back to my room. Not as sharp as I would've liked, but perfect timing none the less. Enjoy!

Love the Mossy Detail, the combination of the K-5 and the DA 35 2.4 can capture some really nice images!!

@niiicedave, do you have any suggestions for more pop? Better background colour choices?
