What would you recommend

if you like the accessability of a sling shot,
want the comfort of a backpack,
with a built in rain cover,
with a built in tripod holder,
very light,
made of strong materials
I would sujest the Lowepro versapack
i got one in the gray and polar blue colour and personally it really does not resemble a photo bag

but newspaper also absorbs moisture and retains it, and is messy.
silica gell packs just have to be popped into the microwave for about a minute and they are good to go again, once a month is a good routine.

if its the same, and the K5 is better than the K7, but the D7000 is to replace the D90, and many have claimed the K7 is better than the D300, i guess you are saying the K5 is better than the D3

I am greatful for your input, it shows a big plus for the K7, unfortunately, by reading deep into your script, i realised the K7 performs well with outside help not on its own. which is what i am looking for.
As a matter of fact, any kind of camera will perform way beyond our wildest dreams, with a great computer and state of the art software .

Now this is an objective review which i am hoping Pentax would read and decide to wake up.

i contacted optech some time aback , concerning the actual strength on the uniloop.
i was pleased to hear the this is actually the same material and thickness used in parachutes.

the K20D autofocus sucks, where as the K7 is better
the k20 has better high iso, of which the k7 is worst

i always had hopes for Pentax, i own 2 great lenses.
in my heart i would really like to keep them as a back up system, but to go thru that therapy with the K20D is out of the question.
in regard of shelling out $1500 for the expected Pentax K5 leaves a big ?
shelling out $865 for a new Nikon D90 or
shelling out $875 for a new Pentax K7 to use as a back up is attractive, but i would like to be convinced that the auto focus system is 100% better than the K20D which was SH_ T !!!!!!!

my engish must be getting bad
even though its the only language i know
but i never said the K7 was no good
are you reading with a clear head

this is a paste from another web site on more or less the same issues

Not much to tell, the D90 is a hard nut to crack, ask Canon LOL. It's a complete camera with everything you need that goes low in price now. If you like Pentax, I would wait for the K8 or so, because the sensor in the Kx performs better in low light and high iso than the K7. The K7 is built sturdier (like the D300) than the D90. While Pentax has a range of older glass, so has Nikon. And since Pentax lenses have gone up in price as well, the real advantage has been eroded. There are more things in the pipeline within a month from other manufacturers. I would wait and see, you never know.

why i turned off the focus assist light on the D300s is so i could do a side by side comparison between the two systems in the same room using a dimmer switch and turning the switch down little by little to check responciveness.
at the point where the k20 stalls and starts hunting and at least 3 seconds has passed and still no lock, the d300 locks on .
this was not a siencetific test but was enough to convince me that the nikon auto focus system was way superior to the pentax.
my biggest main issue from day one, is constantly hearing from people i am photographing, is "man why you taking so long " and i getting fustrated behind the viewfinder waiting for a focus lock.
when i heard pentax was releasing the k7 i had one on preorder, when it was released i got one from the first batch, it sat at my daughters apartment for 2 weeks, and by the mean time i started reading inputs from those who got theirs and realised that focus was still and issue. so i got my daughter to send it back.
so i am back to square one, 2 great lenses and need a good body to couple it to.

15-30 days is a joke
to pull that off, i woud have to know someone who is coming down this way and then another person within the 30 day peroid that can take it back up if i was not satisfied.of which i will have to cater at least 2 weeks for it to ship to and from Miami, so know i only have a 2 week opening betwee miami to me and back to miami, haha i think it would be easier to rub salt in my eyes.
then again people in general are not too helpful when asked to do these kind of things.
and as for shipping it to me, Customs would not like anything better, after they finish with you it will cost 3 times as much.

the d90 and the d300s both have a built in focus assist lamp but because i got them with the 17-55/2.8 lens the hood blocks the beam so i since then disabeled the focus assist light. and still the d90 and d300s will lock focus in unbelivible low light just as fast as in broad daylight

[B]i think you made it clear[/B
]i will wait
my first impression when the K7 came out, was to stay out, now i am still convinced to stay out.
what pisses off me off about the K20D is that long pause in low light before you can get focus lock.
last summer i panacked and got a Nikon D90, man that thing ran circles around the K20D. i got the D300s this summer and so i got back the K20D, of which i was considering keeping as a back up, until my daughter who knows not much about photography, welcomed the D90 and said her camera phone focuses faster than that K20D

some time back i wrote on this forum that Pentax is sleeping, it looks as if they still are
