I'm sharing this because I don't recollect seeing these items getting posted before. The goodies got shipped to me after being drawn as a winner in a local Instagram event by Ricoh (Netherlands). Pretty happy with it!

Great shot and love that you kept the water into the frame, makes it more dynamic.

First of all, a great shot and timing! My only critique would be the framing: there is more space on the right of the bird than on the left. With the bird flying to the left I'd opt for the opposite. It now. feels he's flying out of the frame instead of into the frame. I'm not sure if I expressed myself in an understandable matter, hope you get it.

Lovely shot with all those facial expressions. Really makes you wondering what's going on.

Was thinking the same - but it would lose a lot of dynamics / makes the image very dull. Cool shot!

Thanks guys - I am sure the 30 second exposure helped in getting a lot of detail out.

What triggered me was the black and white contrast of the statue itself against the dark sky. The low angle was to create a dramatic effect.

Alternatively you can go 'Bruce Gilden' style. I love this 4 minute

That was terrible - at first I thought he was using artificial bokeh enabled in a phone or something. Why not just set it to F4, have a nice background blur and he can 'freely' move in the focus zone. It completely ruined the point he was trying to make :D
