Happy 75th Birthday Norm!!! Good to see you and Tess (and the dogs of course) are still hanging in there. I turned 74 five days ago so I certainly understand "taking more time to do less".

Looks like it was a fantastic trip and you did a really great job handling all of the various lighting scenarios that you encountered.

Absolutely the K-3 Mark III. Beyond that the K-1 Mark II, then the K10D.

Thank you!
There is a paved trail along a local brush and tree lined creek that my dog and I walk on a fairly regular basis, with very few openings from which to take a decent shot of anything along or on the creek. We hear and sometimes briefly see a kingfisher every so often but rarely are able to even make an attempt at a shot as they can be, as you know, quite fidgety. At one point along this creek there is a bridge across to the other side. As we were approaching it I could hear its very distinctive call as it was scanning the creek for its next meal. When we get to the bridge I can see it on a tree branch about thirty yards out. Of course the instant that it spots me it takes off down the creek in the opposite direction chattering along the way, but then stops abruptly and pauses on another branch and after maybe ten seconds flies back towards me to the very same branch on which I had first seen it. This actually happened several times but It seemed way more interested in the possibility of a meal than any perceived threat that I may present. As it focuses on the task at hand this is when it presents me with this golden opportunity. ---------- Post added 05-06-23 at 12:21 PM ----------
Nice shot Larry! At the age of seventy three I share your challenges, especially when I have the HD DFA 150-450 mounted.
