I also have the Lowepro Flipside 400 bag bag and really appreciate the security of its design. It cannot be opened by anyone standing behind you in a crowd, it must first be partly removed to access the opening. Not so important if you are hiking in open country but very important in more populated areas. It is comfortable to wear and very adjustable inside whatever gear you carry.

I have found eneloops to be great batteries, they hold their charge for months and I have had no problems using them, firstly in my old K100D and always in my assorted flashes. I use the Technoline BL700 charger which allows me to charge single batteries.

Is there any reason that I shouldn't buy a K-5?

After weeks of thought and sleepless nights I have made the decision you are sweating on. My K5 has been ordered from SRS and is due next week.
I decided not to wait for a new model because it would seem that the K5 does everything I could ever want and then some.
I am upgrading from a K100D super that has seen much use and is being passed on to my son.
I am sure that any replacement will cost considerably more than £729.
Best of luck with your decision and I hope to post some results soon.:)

Having owned many pentax cameras and a K100D super for several years I am regaining my enthusiasm for photography after discovering Eneloop batteries combined with a Technoline BL700 charger, also a battery grip purchased recently to stem the tide of Duracell batteries.
