I think I would like a little more saturation, but still I love this photo.
The perspective and the context of man meeting nature.
Beautiful and nominated.

I showed my wife the unboxing video from OGL. She said that looks like a neat lens do you want one of those? I said sure, then showed her the price. I won't repeat what she said next but I learned new language. ;)

Thank you for all of your help and comments
JCollinU - good call, DIN condensed is a great place to start, adapting an existing font will save me a lot of time and effort
The lens sections will help with reproducing the 'lens reflections/flare' on the glass
kcmadr - I use Rhino3D; I come from an architectural background rather than product modeling background, I am looking to start doing some Virtual Product Photography
panoguy - I use Maxwell; which is very user friendly if you have a basic understanding of photography i.e. f stops, exposure etc. rather than 'abstract' render terminology
I have been thinking about looking at hdrlightstudio for a while now, I will now use this project as an excuse
Plus here are a couple of webinars you might be interested in Novedge Webinar Series Episode 58: Studio Lighting Techniques Using Maxwell Render on Vimeo Novedge Webinar Series Episode 59: Fast Perfect Lighting with HDR Light Studio 4 on Vimeo
Here is a new test render (the text is a little to prominent at the moment)

Pentax Point & Shoot Competition #59 - Doorways The doorway to the Kitchen, or a doorway to another dimension, I don't care. Straight up or thoroughly washed & processed using your favorite software, it doesn't matter. Artsy images, Emotional images, Thought Provoking images, Metaphoric images, whatever gets your attention. I encourage you to use your imagination. The usual rules apply The Rules 1. HAVE FUN! 2. Cameras: No cameras with sensors larger than 1" No large format or camera typically requiring a tripod to use No interchangeable lens cameras No 35mm (D)SLRs or any camera weighing over 1 kg Cameras permitted (cameras listed as acceptable here supersede rules above) Fixed-lens 35mm and smaller-format film and digital rangefinder and viewfinder cameras Interchangeable or Fixed-lens 110 film SLRs and Pentax Q TLRs, 6x9, 6x7, 6x6 and 6x4.5 Medium Format "Folding", "Box", or "Holga-style" scale focus cameras (subject to 1 kg weight limitation) 3. Entries will close on Oct. 30, 2012. 4. Maximum image dimensions are 1024x768 (ish) pixels 5. Max of 3 image entries per person, from archives or fresh. Entries may be withdrawn or changed 6. Listing camera brand & model with entry for all to see, and exposure data would be nice. 7. Post processing is fine. 8. Contest winner determines the rules, selects theme, sets closing date, and judge’s next competition 9. HAVE FUN! I’ll start us off with a few “straight up” "straight forward" shots taken at the old fort in Puerto Rico recently using the Optio S. |
