update: just received an email from Pentax Imaging stating my rebate submission has been received and i should receive my rebate approx. 1-8-2008. Funny thing though --the rebate status is still not showing on their status page. fwiw, I did email their customer service dept about my rebate status so maybe that helped.

Kenko is pretty good and fairly cheap. i purchased mine from ebay and it works great.

question: i neglected to make a photocopy of the actual barcode from the k10d box. In the event of Pentax claiming they did not receive the rebate submission, without a copy of said item, will i be excluded from the rebate? I have copies of everything else, just not the barcode:hmm:

my rebate was submitted roughly the same time as yours (3 wks ago) and the status for my rebate has yet to be posted on their website as well. :hmm:

Mine says the Philippines. Is this where Pentax cameras are made? I purchased mine from Beach Camera Nov2007. Manufacture date shows 08-07-2007 w/ 190 actuations from factory.

I'm not familiar with this program whatsoever; Is the computer suppose to display a live view through camera lens? I can fiddle with the camera's settings and such on the remote assistance program, but i'm only getting a blank white display where i'm assuming should have a live picture?
