right tried a new card and removed the uv filter and reset all the settings.
still the same on all ISO but worse on high.
I'll take it back to London Camera Exchage

the k-r is fairly new less than 6months old and has been well looked after.
i'll will do some more tests and then take back to the shop.

its got an old uv filter on it.
most shots are ok i think its just high iso where this happens.
I think i'll do some testing with different raw modes and jpeg and with and without the uv filter and see what happens.
thankfully its still under warranty.

I seem to be getting some odd lines across some images
mostly high iso i think
any idea what is causing this ?

so are you saying the pentax k-r does iso 80 ?
I have expanded the sensitivity and can now see iso 100, but not 80 ?

so i take it that iso 100 does not provide better quality than iso 200 on the pentax k-r ?

expanded iso sensititivity,
what is this for ?
and why is the lowest iso 200 without using the above feature ?

they are both good cameras, i just got the k-r and its great but I reckon the Nikon does some things better.
