I got a Pentax K-r ordered from the US, in December and i got a superb deal on it. Got my hands on it in Jan and my oh my wasn't i happy. It is my first DSLR after all
But it all came crashing down.
My E-dial stopped working.....i mean..it just jumps and goes ahead. the shutter speed goes higher and higher so does the f stop....so basically i have stopped shooting in anything else but AUTO and P mode. :(
Since am in India, and the warranty doesnt work out here...i have no idea wat to do with it. I went through almost all the posts in threads related to this.
tried the repeated rotation of the dial, and rotated it for a good 15 minutes. the situation improved but not much.
i really dont wanna take the risk of opening the body up myself or spray any aerosols into it.
Would appreciate it a hell lot if someone who has had a similiar experience in a country without Pentax or someone from India, help me with this.

Got my first DSLR ...a few months back....
a Pentax K-r...my friend got a real steal and i had him buy for me from US....
havent been able to do justice to the cam though..hope to learn more :D
PS: please get Pentax to India....plzzz.....
