Just enjoy the game without taking photo's.
Once in a while it will happen, that you can't take photo's. I had a dance contest last weekend, where i was seated in not the best spot for photo's. So I just enjoyed the dancing, and kept the camera in my bag.

This is the far more interesting feature addition as far as I'm concerned: -Added customization option that functions while the Fx button is pressed. The Fx button can be customized and registered to 10 buttons such as [User AF (While Pressed)] and [AE Lock (While Pressed)]
-Some of the functions and button customization can be set in detail.
-After determining the button assignment, press the INFO button on the [Fx button] screen to set the details of the selected function.
*The items that can be set from the INFO button are as follows
-User AF (While Pressed)
-AE Lock (while Pressed)
-Preset Sv (While Pressed)
-Preset Tv (While Pressed)
-Preset Av (While Pressed)
-AE Metering (While Pressed)
-Flash Mode (While Pressed)
-HDR Capture (While Pressed)
-AA Filter Simulator (While Pressed)
-One touch RAW+
-Crop
-Shake Reduction
-Key Lock
-Shooting Info Display (While Pressed)
The expansion of controls, and in a relatively straightforward manner, is muchly appreciated.

You should have reported my exact terms in stead of being a lot murkier: " I previously wrote that according to its formula (front bi-concave lens), this new Pentax lens should be compared to Zeiss Otus 85/1.4. And as I said, I am sure this lens is a must-have for the one who needs it..." It would have been a much more respectful behavior.
I am not a Pentax fan in terms of blindness. I own vintage Leica-R lenses when I discovered their supremacy in terms of micro and macro-contrast in past century. At that time, I tried Minolta, Nikon and Canon lenses (not Pentax I didn't know at that time). I loved working with Nikon cameras and some of their lenses are very good. I didn't like Canon lenses mainly because of CA. At that time (I tried Leica Summicron-R 50/2, Leica Summilux 80/1.4, Leica Apo-Summicron-R 180/2), I felt obvious to switch to Leica lenses (I used to mainly work on B&W Tri-X rolls and Kodachrome 25 and Fuji Velvia 50 slides).
Leica as everyone knows unfortunately abandoned Leica-R mount when switching to digital era for the benefit of Leica-S mount. I had Canon EOS 5D Mkx for convenience: I didn't want to change the original mount for a Leitax one although I always found their weak sensor as a stumbling block.
Then, Pentax K-1 has been released in 2016. I found the design of another era, old fashioned... Until I tried one with the Pentax HD PENTAX-D FA 24-70mm f/2.8 ED SDM WR. I didn't like the lens (excellent but not my taste) but I understood the potential of the camera thanks to the RAW files I worked on and the feelings I had with the camera: a joy to hold it in my hand. Changing original mount is not so easy nor psychologicaly obvious, but I did with some of my Leica-R lenses. I couldn't be happier.
Perhaps I change one day for another brand EVF camera, but the Pentax K-1 is still the one...
To resume, Pentax undeniably made an excellent lens with the new HD PENTAX-D FA★85mmF1.4ED SDM AW, but the limited edition is still an excellent option for those who like (like me) mechanical aperture, small lenses... ;) ---------- Post added 20-06-20 at 00:25 ---------- If I had no Leica-R lenses today, as a neophyte, I probably would go for two Pentax K-1, one with HD PENTAX-D FA 15-30mm f/2,8 ED SDM WR and one with HD PENTAX-D FA★85mmF1.4ED SDM AW according to my use... ;)

Ultra wide lenses such as 15mm and 20mm were expensive back when they were sold new. That means that relatively few were sold and produced, making them rare. The bottom line is that it's a seller's market as far as UWA goes.
Pentax once ran an ad campaign on how few 15mm lenses they sold. |

I have an old Tokina 28mm f2.8 lens that I bought back in the 80's. Didn't have much money so I probably went for cheap. This is not an RMC as some are. I'm not sure what the RMC stands for but if I had to guess I'd say it has to do with the coating. My primary question is this. On the aperture ring next to f22 there is an A (colored green) and I was wondering what that A represents. There is a small button on the aperture ring that, when depressed, will allow you to rotate the ring to the A position and it will remain locked on the A once you've rotated it to line up with the dot. I don't believe I've shot this lens in more years than I can remember but I'm going to give it a test run on some black and white film soon. I hope its not too big a wast of a few frames of film.
Thanks in advance to anyone who might choose to make worthwhile comments on this subject.
Regards
(Long live film)

Flip camera over (top down). Now looking at the bottom of the camera turn wheel anti-clockwise to undo. I just checked mine to confirm. Good luck :)

Once turned on via the PC software you find a "Test mode" tab (only this) between the "screwdriver" tab and the "C" tab in the menu (it is there when you go there, it's not actually visible as a small tab while you're still on another tab). Obviously you need to press the "menu" button first to see anything.
As far as I can see the only useful item there is is the AF adjustment, nothing to tune the level.
See the descirptions for older cameras for an idea: RiceHigh's Pentax Blog: K-x Debug Mode Tutorial - AF Adjustment
For the AF adjustement I guess it's smart to write down all the adjustements one has done, since they seem to be relative and the camera doesnt show the absolute result. So if you play around and adjust -50 now and -120 tomorrow the camera is at -170 but the next time you turn it on it starts at "0". So if you ever decide to go back to where you started you want to know how much much you fiddled around with it in total.
