Thinking of switching from fuji to pentax need some advice

Thanks for the responses guys .I see lot of guys are against the idea of me switching from fuji to pentax at this point. any ways here is the reasoning for me to consider the switch.
to start of i should say that between the k5 and the fuji system i did try the sony A7rii which was amazing but lack of ergonomics and the language (only Japanese cant change) and the prices of the lenses made me sell that gear
so back to fuji these are the problems i have found

ergonomics again the best ergonomics is Pentax hands down
Lack of IBIS.I have gotten used to ibis and i really miss it on the fuji
ability to crop. again i was spoiled by the 42mp sony monster
the XF 56mm lens. while this is a great lens it lacked bit of character when compared to the FE 55 i had ( the 3d pop and the quality of the bokeh)
ISO performance and dynamic range. specially when i try to recover shadows.( i see lot of noise)

I do realize that many of the complaints here are due to my lack of photographic ability and in better hands fuji will be able to overcome these shortcomings.
So the rationale behind me coming back to Pentax

Ergonomics
IBIS
Full weather sealing with DA 20-40mm
Love of the Pentax name :P

the reasons for the lens selection
DA 20-40mm weather sealing, affordability, good work around lens (dont have to change lenses all the time)
DA 15 i love wide angle. I used to have this lens and loved it back then
FA 77 full frame compatible and i have seen the 3D pop with this lens.
i love the build and the look of the pentax limited lenses

I know my DA lenses will work only in crop mode.but im happy to live with that considering the price and the weight of those lenses.

ok guys i need some advice.

I used to own a k5 then sadly i switched sided went into fuji. But with the full frame coming i would really want to get back to Pentax. So im pondering on selling my fuji stuff and getting some pentax gear with an eye towards the full frame.Right now i have the xf 56 ,xf14 and xf23 with a XT1 and im planing on getting DA 15,DA20-40 and FA 77 with a K-S2 for now and selling the K-S2 and getting the full frame when it arrives. What i would like to know is how would the optical quality of lenses compare

XF14 against DA 15 and whether DA15 perform well on the full frame (obviously on crop setting)
XF23 against DA 20-40 and again weather it would perform well on the full frame
XF56 against FA77 and would the FA77 be able to resolve the new sensor on the full frame given FA77 is a old desing

any thought are welcomed, even other lens recommendations

cheers and thanks in advance

i should add that center metering seems to be working alright, but i don't get any F stop displays in the viewfinder ( which i think is ok since using a manual lens) and when i focus i get the focus beep as well so it seem to be working but when i press the shutter button fully nothing happens i.e doesnt take any pictures. Im using this camera for the 1st time so either the camera is broken or im doing sum thing wrong. any help would be appreciated

thankz

well over here the FA cost only 2000 yen more. thats like only US$20. But the Sigma is in fact 2 times heavier than the FA 31 and i get the feeling the 31 can do almost everything the sigma can do. the main reason me sticking with pentax is the compact size and the vintage quality prime lenses so i guess ill go for the 31mm

This is what is happening to me as well

Is the other AF point are as big as the center AF. IF not its worth manually selecting a different focus point
and try to focus at different subjects to see whether they are in focus.

to the OP

i seriously can undestand your frustration. After spending a lot of money and seeing all those great pictures taken from this lens by others and then to find out that its not focusing right must be really heart breaking.well i have the same problem i bought one few weeks back here in japan that had back focus issues .I took it to the service center they said it was due to the body and so they corrected it and at that stage it seemed fine. but yesterday i took it out for a real life shooting and must say even though the pics are ok they are not great i still feel there is still a focusing problem in my camera lens combo specially when you are focusing at mid to long distances.

in your case also may be the problem lies on the body. so why not look for a friends k5 or kr and check it out.
and also try seeing whether you can focus correctly at short to mid range focus distances. hope this helps

hi guys

i start cleaning my lenses today ( after water splashes on my FA 43mm) and while cleaning i noticed that in the DA 15mm near the mount the last lens element is connected to a plastic ring as with any other lens. but this plastic ring have a slight wobble to it.should i be worried or is this normal.

Thankz
