Great! As for me, I've been wantin' a GPS attachment on my camera since 2005! This is a godsend for me.

I remember the issues I had with my Kodak DCS Pro/n back in 2005. At the time it was Kodak's cutting edge 13.8MP sensor. Any amount of contrast would create purple fringes all sharp edges. It didn't matter what lens I used either.
I assume after this much time Kodak has gotten better.

"you should NOT be pressing the menu button?"
The instructions tell you to copy the BIN file into the root directory of your SD card. Then you load the card into slot #2. Then you turn on the camera with the menu button pressed. It will instantly start to load the BIN file.
It worked fine for me.

Not a problem at all! After reading the instructions a 4th time I saw that the SD card containing the BIN file must be inserted in slot #2. I kept trying to load it from slot #1.
Thanks to all for trying to help.

Oh yes and formatted the card beforehand.

Follow up: still no success after a fully charged battery!
I might need to talk to someone at Pentax about this problem.

Hello,
Always like to read stuff on this forum. Finally decided to join now that I have a problem no one has posted about yet.
I love shooting local landscapes in New England where I lived for most of my life. I've always tried to collect as much detail as possible in my photos. After 40 years I think I can get what I'm after with the new 645D.
Thanks,
Peter

I am trying to update the firmware of my 645D from 1.02 to 1.10 and it's not working. I've copied the BIN file to my SD card 2 different times as well as numerous reboots with the menu button pressed. All I get is a display of my curreent firmware version for a few seconds and then it goes on to the menu display.
My only thought is that the battery is only about 60% charged. Is it possible that the camera needs to see close to 100% before it will proceed with the update?
Anyone else having this problem?
Thanks,
Peter
