My very favorite version of this tune composed by blind Irish harpist Turlough O'Carolan (1670-1738).

Years ago I was very happy with KEH bargain condition lenses.
I haven't bought any since they changed hands a few years ago.
Lenses I have purchased in the last few years not from PF member ads
were from eBay sellers in Japan, who always provide detailed photos.

This is why they make Vise-Grip™ locking pliers. ;)
Not an elegant solution, but sometimes one must resort to brute force.
Remove those old swollen nuts by any means necessary and replace them
with ones that fit your car's lug wrench.

I too prefer the physical printed page, and I am willing to pay a reasonable amount for it.
However today it's tough to compete with news and entertainment offered instantaneously online,
with no apparent up-front cost, paid for by advertisers and groups with various political motives.

This is a very important point.
I use a hair blow dryer set to warm on my plastic tanks and reels before placing them in the changing bag.

The one or two additional lenses I might carry together take up less space than this contraption.

The less common 63mm EL-Nikkor is excellent and often used for macro work.
I tried the 63mm f/2.8 EL-Nikkor lens and it soon became my standard for making 5x7 and 8x10 prints from 35mm negatives.
IMO the slightly longer focal length allows for a more comfortable working height of the enlarger head in the normal range.

I buy most of my film from Freestyle in California.
Their selection, prices and service are all excellent. https://www.freestylephoto.com/
Freestyle also carries an extensive selection of paper and darkroom chemistry.
IMO this further demonstrates their devotion to film users.

Though I look forward to Pentax return to film camera production I would not be interested in a half-frame 35mm camera.
I do realize that I am not Pentax target demographic.

Looks like nothing to worry about.
Maybe it was caused by something on a previous owners stray fingers.
BTW nice clean film guide rails! ;)

Thanks so much for the snarky comment. In response I feel justified to say a bit more.
Eric Hendrickson's repair service has over the years kept thousands of Pentax
film cameras and lenses operating properly as useful photographic implements.
Without his work many would be useless paperweights.
Eric is a great asset to the Pentax user community.

A not-so-old tech gadget I use every day is my Internet radio appliance.
With it I can listen to radio stations from all around the world independent of my phone or computer.
I'm surprised these devices are not more popular.

I wound up buying a very well-maintained 2015 Chevy Malibu with 55,000 miles.
It's not exactly what I set out to buy but in my price range it was the best option.
As a daily driver for my 15 mile roundtrip commute for work it should suffice for
the four years I'd like to work until I reach my full Social Security retirement age.
After I retire if finances allow we'll trade in both cars and share a single new vehicle.

You should be aware there is no delivery time guarantee for Media Mail.
It is USPS least expensive method for shipping eligible parcels.
Sometimes parcels are routed in difficult to understand ways.
Based on previous posts you often seem to have problems using USPS.
Fortunately there are various other options for purchase and shipping.

Tabular grain films like TMax will exhaust fixer more quickly, thus Kodak's recommendation.
I have tried pre-washing Tri-X before development and extended fix times (with fresh fixer),
along with HCA and extended rinse time, yet the pink color remains in processed negatives.
It doesn't seem to interfere with printing but it is very annoying when viewing the negatives.
To address the lateral curl problem I have tried placing the dry processed negatives between
the pages of a book with some weight on top for a week or more - also not very convenient...

I love the look of Tri-X. However I do not like the pink-purple tinge of the processed negatives, nor the lateral curl.
Presuming current production Tri-X still has these tendencies I'd like to hear from others how you have handled them.
TIA,

I too find Ilford HP5+ seriously lacks contrast.
However I loved old Ilford HP5 (non +) and miss it very much.
It had all the good qualities of Tri-X but none of the bad ones.
If you know some reliable way to bump up the contrast of HP5+
significantly without resorting to push-processing I'm listening...

When I worked in camera repair in the late 1980s we used Freon TF, now banned.
A professional camera repairman many of you know once told me he uses Windex.
A recently purchased camera body has some gooey black melted mirror bumper foam
on the plastic (?) focusing screen. I haven't decided what to use to try to remove it.

USPS window clerks once had an inked stamp they could use on customer request stating: EXPOSED PHOTOGRAPHIC FILM
This might no longer be universal since digital photography has become predominant.

Many do, some don't. One must read the fine print in their ads.
I found something at a dealer who charges no additional fees.
They are BBB A+ rated. Every car listing includes the full Carfax.
I hope it's still there when I can go to take a look on Monday...
