Even wide open @2.4, very nice.
What are the 'sweet' spots that you have found with this lens?

If you do not have a big stopper, use the composition option in camera. Set up the intervals and shoot a set. It can make people go away.

What does that mean? Are you trying to say that people shooting Sony (growing daily), Olympus/ Panasonic (like Len Metcalf), and Fuji (growing daily) are not real photographers? Not too mention that Nikon is about to release a FF mirrorless. Holy crap, you are hilarious!
I get brand allegiance and all that but statements like that are just blind fandom. The truth is that Pentax would probably LOVE to have at least an APS-C mirrorless on the market but they simply do not have the money. I think that the KP should have been delayed just a little longer and been designed around one of Sonys mirrorless sensors.

Lets beat this dead horse even more!!!
Who cares?
I shoot a lot of film and a lot of digital. Film has digital in one respect: range. Film can handle under and over exposure with FAR more ability to recover information than any digital sensor can.

Wow, will you have time to see anything? You are going to miss your vacation because you are too busy trying to take photos and switch lenses. Me, I would bring the 21 and the 55-300. Nothing else. 21 for wide end landscapes (and back up if you need a wider framing) and the 55-300 for everything else.

I am currently weighing DxO, On1 and Capture 1 as my LR6 standalone replacement. All have tutorials available (with the advantage going to C1) and both will do what I want them to do. DxO is having a great bundle sale right now though. How does On1 handle cloning/ healing out things in a shot (like powerlines, for example)? Capture 1 is fantastic but I think it is overkill for what I do.

I am not into the subscription model of Adobe. Also, Capture 1 allows me to do LR style photo 'developing' as well as basic manipulation that would require me to use two different programs in Adobe.

Metered so that the land acted as a border between the sky and the reflection on the water at sunrise. I like the two different worlds feel to it.

Those are great shots and exactly what I am looking to get as results.
I regularly shoot with a Zeiss folding camera that is zone focus only. You have to run hyperfocal numbers and distance guesses to get a good photo. It is difficult but when you nail it, totally great experience. The DoF is really shallow. 42900008 by Jarrod Hills, on Flickr
