You can use Paint.NET. Doesn't cost a penny and has a lot of Plug-ins, IMO equal to LR3. You can get it from ---> www.getpaint.net |

The second shot, is it a RAW converted to JPEG or its a stock JPEG image? If it's a RAW image then can you send me that image. I think I can enhance it further.

Use wine or Ufraw. Ufraw is excellent. You wont miss PDCU4 once you get hold of the Ufraw.

@bogiesbad I just updated my USA bought K-r with the firmware available on Japan site and the camera is working fine.
