So hard to pick, what happened to the all of the above option? For me that wonderful hunk the 21mm 2.4 with the weather resistance just tips it in to the favourite category :)
was the 20-40 excluded on purpose ?

The connection is the same as for all the other finders. Sometimes the sponge rubber may have been replaced and be a little thicker and may need to be more firmly pushed down. Sometimes it might be the opposite problem and the sponge is too thin and that might make the finder loose and rattle while still attached. I find the chimney finder excellent for getting the focus easier, I'm sure you will work it out and enjoy it.

Well the 15th here so mid month, the 400mm A lens has been a lot easier to use than expected. The resolving power on the K1 meets anything I have thrown at it so far. The minimum focusing distance is quite close for a telephoto so that birds and flowers fill the frame nicely too. Physically it is quite a long lens but quite light, I have mostly been using a monopod to steady my wobbly grip, not really a subtle outfit in the street but easy to use. I'm off working in the country for the next 2 weeks so hopefully there will be plenty of 400mm subjects.

With prices for the F available at less than$100AUD and the low light capability of the K1 it might surprise you and be worth a try , also the size is more pub friendly than the modern lenses which might draw a little too much attention....... :) https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/g1132214279 |

Well I vote for going further back to the F 70-210mm, nice and compact, star wars chunky look, screw drive and relatively economical , even here in Oz. I have enjoyed mine over the years, I have both the HD 70-200 2.8 and 70-210 F4 but they are huge in comparison to the tiny F lens.

Enjoy your new camera and you have a nice range of lenses there, the prices paid were very reasonable and with your eye for a bargain I'm sure a 105mm will appear at some point in the future, don't be put off by a yellowed early version, they can be de-yellowed easily.

Excellent work and so well presented, thank you. I think this should be kept as a sticky @Adam
