Seems like it's one of those months! Struggling here too but was anticipated.
Still, managed an image last night and today - just not very inspired!

I genuinely struggle with these two lenses. Somehow the bokeh and pop always looks better with the 77. But.... when I'm not looking for that or comparing them I have a lot more "favourite" images from the DA 70. Who knows .... so my only solution atm is to keep both :D

Me. I did!
Most of my images with the 18-135 were in the 20-40 range and I was a little disappointed with the images I bought back from Iceland in 2013. I finally got the 20-40 in May 2014 (after an exhibition in Southampton) two weeks after I got back from Rome. I've loved the lens ever since!
Note: I still have the 18-135 - it's an excellent dog walking and grandchildren lens :-)

You will still need the DA70 - trrrrussssst meeeeeee!
This is good to know; I haven't had the opportunity to hold/try out a DFA 21 yet but if it balances on anything from a K-1 to a KP ..... well

After much soul searching I've decided to join in for February. I'm still unsure about participating every day but I shall at least attempt it.
So after discussing this on New Years Eve I'm in with the A24/2.8. Never singled but regularly used :)

Well that's a wrap. I've enjoyed my first month back, tight at times but picking the M50/1.4 was a good call.
Nothing unexpected really, the lens performs well at all apertures and is useful on both apsc and full frame.
As a bonus for the SIC its versatility extends to being paired with the Raynox 150, the S25 close up lens and also a reversing ring.
Being an M series the focusing is smooth and easy and not a lot of tampering is required in post.

I've had to stop because I actually like most of them from this month!! :o

I'm probably out; thought about the "daily in" for some more leeway but not sure that I'll have enough time to commit.
Need to do something though but what ........?

I’m still longing for a DA 28 limited - can’t see it ever happening though 😳

Well I know that plenty of others have been where I am now but I'm impressed with the M50/1.4.
Yes it's a 50mm but I'll happily use it in place of my A50/1.2 for 99% of images.
This is a good thing as I'm trying to get my prime lenses down to a 49mm filter - unlikely to be achieved but it's a goal.
It's excellent on the K-1 and comes up with the goods on the KP and K-3-3.
Wide open the bokeh is really nice and the lens is versatile enough to be used reversed or with a close up lens.
Halfway Happy House :)

After reading this and your comments on today's image I've had a look back through Lightroom. TBH my single-in from April '15 on the K-5 looks like a fair representation. Mine was mushy in the corners at f8 too but I did like the overall look and it was a nice size in the hand to use. Probably lucky the K-1 wasn't about at the time!!
Overall though I think your copy may be representative unless we both have/had an outlier

Was very much looking forward to it and yes, everyone I know who is retired is very hard to get hold of!
This is it - doing all the things you want when you want. Still a few extra beer tokens tucked away will be a nice bonus :)
Don't think I could manage a 24 in 24 although it is my intention to single a 24 at some point this year. My first one was the A24/2.8 that I bought on April fools day in 2012. I've never singled this one but it is the only remaining 24 prime. I have singled both the K24/3.5 (very nice to use) and more recently the FA*24 but for overall versatility and convenience - for me - the A 24 has outlasted most others.

Hello strangers !
If I remember rightly my last stab at this was November '22 so hopefully I'll remember what to do.
It's been a strange old year in which I was supposed to retire  but plans have changed so I'm still at the grindstone.
Anyway during this time I've sort of (a little bit) consolidated my lenses into a useable and less unwieldy collection (thanks in the main to a certain action site) which is not to say that GAS has been satiated in any way.
So, going to try out for January and giving myself an easy return with the M50/1.4 - APSC and FF.
Looking forward to it!
