No bokeh, and it's a bit overprocessed (on purpose) but you can see how sharp this lens is. |

I seem to remember there being a thread where this problem (which is common with the K-5) was attributed to lack of use. Spinning the dial non-stop for a couple of minutes fixed the problem, if my memory serves be right. Using the dial from time to time prevented the problem from coming back.

I'm sure this one is familiar to some of you, but I thought it would fit nicely with this contest.

If you have prime lenses, start using those. You'll stop depending on the zoom and you'll move around and get better shots. There's an old saying that if your pictures aren't good enough, you're not close enough. Whatever it is you want to shoot, stick your lens right up on it.
Of course this won't work with the sun and moon, but they've been shot so many times that it's best to just leave them alone at this point. Rarely are sunset and sunrise pictures very good.

Two reasons for me. First, I am very particular when it comes to ergonmoics of electronic devices. Second, if I'm going to spend $1000 of my very limited money, I want the gadget I'm buying to be perfect. For me, playing with a friend's K-5 would be enough, but I don't know any other Pentax owners other than the folks here. I will drive to New York when it's time to make the buy unless a used one shows up on the local Craigslist by some miracle.

Just stay away from Delaware in the U.S. the only two camera shops we have here are 100 miles from where I live and neither carries Pentax. Also, none of the shops in Philadelphia carry Pentax anymore. If I want to hold a K-5 before I buy one, I have to drive to New York and visit B&H in person.
Thank goodness for the Internet, I suppose.

Do we really need new lenses? I thought the whole idea of the K system is that we have 40+ years of lenses to choose from.
A full frame body is all I require.

Just my opinion, but everyone should own a K1000 at some point in his or her life. A fully manual camera that doesn't have the option of automation of any sort makes you develop an eye for exposure.
